Chapter 10

Carter's pov-

I'm splashing around with Tate and Jesse. When I look up and Luke and Bo weren't around. I asked Caroline where they were and she replied saying she has noidea. Then I see the back door open I spin around thinking it was Luke but boy was I wrong. I heard Caroline yell saying,'Ashley Over here' they girl that looked to be around my age ran over the Caroline and she sat down on a chair next to Caroline. She was very beautiful, I couldn't help but look at her. I was day dreaming when Jesse jumped in right next to me. "Hey" I shook my head and I swam after her she screamed while laughing and I grabbed her and pulled her close to me. She laughed a wiggled out of my grip. I over heard the girls talking about me Ashley asked Caroline who I was and who Jesse was and what was I to them and Caroline answered by saying that's Michael and that's Jesse his little girl that he adopted and Michael plays With Luke in Luke's band. Then she called me over and swam over to the other side and I put my arms on the edge and I looked up. "What's up" I said in my very cheery voice. "Michael this is Ashley,ashley this is Michael. "Hi" I said while getting out. I was gonna shake her hand but I'm all wet. I saw Tate get out but I wasn't watching him was just drying off. Next thing I know I feel little hands on my stomach and pressure against me an I'm in the water. I come back up for air and Jesse an Tate jump in and Jesse goes under me an grabs my legs and pulls me under. I wasn't ready and next thing I know every thing goes black.

Caroline's pov-

I see Jesse pull Carter under and see doesn't come back up. I think he's just plying with us but after awhile of him still not coming up I scream for Luke and he comes running out. i was so scared "Carter he's not coming up for air" that's when Luke dives in an I watch him grab carter and pulls him up. Me and Ashley both were freaked out and I saw Jesse in full blown tears. Luke was doing CPR but it wasn't working,Ashley was already on the phone with 911 and then next thing I know I'm drying Tate off along with Jesse and Luke and carter were already off to the hospital. Ashley was helping me with Tate while I dressed Jesse she wouldn't do it her self because she was crying. She couldn't stop. I walked Jesse to my car and she sat down in the back seat she was still crying. "I'll be right back" she said okay and I shut the door and ran inside Luke told me Bo was in the den so I went in there and saw Bo with out his shirt on but he had his spider man pants on. I felt his head as I was doing that I now knew where Luke was he was taking care of our son. I picked Bo up and man was he getting heavy I brought him in to me car and set him in the middle seat where his booster seat was. He laid his head in Jesses shoulder and went back to sleep. I went back inside and Tate was Dressed in his kaki shorts and light blue shirt with saddles on. I brought him to my car and buckled him in his car seat. Ashley sat in the passenger and we were off. I saw Ashley holding something "what's that?" I questioned her "oh I grabbed Bo's shoes and an plain white shirt for him to put on" that's when I saw Bo who didn't have his shirt nor shoes on. "Thanks" I said to her. We were there and Jesse was a sleep along with BO but Tate was wide awake. I sent Ashley in side with Tate and I put Bo's shirt in him and I woke Jesse up and I carried Bo in. We walked in and I caught up with Ashley we walked in to Carter's room and there was Luke was carter wasn't in there. I handed Bo to Luke and Tate was playing on my phone and Jesse was quiet as a mouse. I started to talk with Ashley when the doctor comes in and he asks for Carter's family we all turn and look at Jesse. Ashley jumped up an said I'm his wife who kept her last name and that our kid grabbing jesses hand. Luke knew what was going on but I sure didn't the doctor toke them two out and I looked at luke and asked him what in the world is going on

Jesses pov-

The Ashley gal grabbed my hand and we followed the doctor in to a room where daddy was. He was awake as well i was gonna run over to him but I saw what I did to him. I backed away and I was scared I toke off running and I heard dad yell my name but I ran down the hall and down the stairs and out the building. I've lived on the streets before but I'm new to Nashville but I should find my way around. I ran down the street and I ran past a few buildings like gas stations and apartments stuff like that. I walked the highway and it took me about 2 hour but then I ran down this street and I saw lit up signs and it looked like a down town place. I walked the place looking like a normal 10 year old kid but soon people stopped me and asked for picture because they knew I was Michael Carter's kid but why should they care but I took the picture and they left me. I went and walked past this place and it smelled bad. I looked up at the sign and it said 21 and up. What is this place??
