Unknown Number:
Hi, Miss.

I snorted and shook my head upon reading it. Getting texts from unknown numbers isn't new to me. Kaya natatawa na lang ako tuwing nakakatanggap ako ng text message. I never reply though.

Hindi ko alam kung saan nila nakukuha ang number ko. My friends will never give out my number without permission.

My phone pinged again for another text.

Unknown Number:
You're just a daydream away...

My forehead creased at that familiar line. I feel like I've heard that line somewhere... I stared at the screen for a short while until a scene in my mind played out. I straightened and quickly typed a reply.

Me:
Yuan Licauco?

Mabilis ang naging sagot nito.

Yuan:
You remembered. Now, how about that coffee?

Napangiti ako sa nabasa. I saved his number in my contacts first before responding to his text.

Me:
When?

Like he was really anticipating for my reply, his reply was instant.

Yuan:
Now.

My brows furrowed in confusion. I jumped from my seat a little when a small thud came from the table in front of me. I saw a grande cup of White Chocolate Mocha frappe. I raised my eyes to see who placed it down.

"Yuan," I uttered in surprise.

He flashed a charming grin and sat down, sliding the cup in front of me. He placed another cup in front of him. It must be his drink.

"How did you know I was here?"

"Alana." He brought his cup to his lips and took a sip. "She also gave me your number."

My lips parted. She planned this! Kaya siguro niya sinabi na may gagawin siya at hindi niya ako masasamahan ngayong vacant. It's because she conspired with Yuan.

"What did you bribe her with?" I raised a brow.

"Someone else's number." He plastered an evil grin.

"Let me guess..." I squinted my eyes. "Abraham's?"

Humalakhak si Yuan at umiling. "You know her so well."

So much for my friends not giving out my number without my permission. I mentally shook my head. My so called best friend sold me out in exchange for the current apple of her eye. Maybe I should tell...

"So, we're drinking our promised coffee," Yuan innocently stated.

A smile crept on my lips. I raised my cup to take a sip. "Yes."

"I really think we should set our lunch next. You know, hindi nakakabusog kapag coffee lang," he casually said, still giving me his seemingly innocent look.

Natawa ako sa pa-simple niyang hirit. Tumango ulit ako bilang pagpayag.

"I think so, too."

His eyes brightened. A wide boyish grin spread over his face. "I'm taking that as a promise."

Masaya kausap si Yuan. He's very attentive. Hindi rin siya nauubusan ng kwento. I wouldn't notice the time if it wasn't for the speaker signaling the end of classes.

I checked my phone. Just in time to see Xavi's new text. I didn't have to open the message to know what it's about. Ibinalik ko ang tingin kay Yuan.

"Xavi will be here in a few. Gusto mo bang sumama sa amin mag lunch?" I offered.

"I have class," he apologetically said. "But we'll have that lunch soon. Just you and I, yeah?"
