Brandi's POV
Eighteen years have passed. Dylan was off at UMASS Amherst. I stayed home with dad. Dad was teaching me how to train and breed horses. Hunter's Bullet had been bred with many mares over the years. He's been my boy since I was able to ride. He could tell that I was my mother's daughter. Dad told me stories about mom and her stallion Diablo.
"Dad, did mom ever find her freedom?" I asked.
He paused. I waited patiently for an answer. "She did when she died. That's her freedom," he answered trying to hold back the tears.
