"Please, don't leave me here alone!"
The scared look in Beth's eyes is really unsettling and Aries doesn't know how to fix it. Her head is saying just go to work and be done, but something in her gut is saying something bad is going to happen. Normally, her gut comes first, but she has to work tonight.
"Beth, I have to go to work."
Beth makes a gesture with her hands. "Call in sick. Dude, you know I'm scared."
"Of Paul? He couldn't hurt you if he tried."
Aries doesn't really like to get mean with the blonde girl, but at the same time, that's the only way she can get through to Beth during her distressed times.
Beth pulls at her shirt. "Can I go with you then?"
Aries huffs, one hand on the door knob and the other on her hip. There really wouldn't be any harm in Beth sitting behind the counter at the shop, Max doesn't come in till dark, and Lucy wouldn't say anything once she saw how bad they both looked. Aries didn't bother with her hair and Beth doesn't even have on makeup.
"Alright, but don't say anything about last night to Lucy. She'll think we're tripping."
The girls head out, and Aries doesn't miss the way Beth double checks the doors lock.
