"If you ever find you're in the wrong story, then leave."

As fun as life currently was, those certain nagging thoughts returned like an unwanted thief in the night
They crept back in my mind like smoke when it curled in my mouth and into my lungs
The only difference was that they didn't get me high
At first, these particular thoughts encouraged me to branch out and try something new
Now they were pulling me back, telling me to hold back and ease up
It was up to me whether I wanted to obey them or let them float out of my mind
If they did
The thoughts wanted me to go back to normal while there still was a normal in sight
No matter what, I wouldn't let them suck me in
I want my mind back, yes, but at the same time I don't
Should I bother trying to refrain myself from any more drugs? Should I stop the train before it goes off the track?
Or let it continue, just to see how bad the damage will be after the collision?
This time, I didn't have an answer to those questions.
