"Burning desire to be or do something gives us staying power- a reason to get up every morning or to pick ourselves up again after a disappointment."

I wish I could say all those longings up and walked away
But I'd be lying
Though it pains me to admit, I snuck out my window almost immediately after feeling tugs of want and need, and walked away into the night
I had no destination in mind, I let my feet carry me where they desired
I can honestly say that it shocked me when I found myself at Andrew's doorstep, once again
It should not have surprised me
A good girl would have walked away
Or screamed for help, because he was the big bad wolf in my story
But this wasn't a fairy tale anymore, it was a nightmare
Andrew didn't intentionally mean any harm as a person
He just wanted to love those around him and be respected
But he wasn't aware how toxic he was to someone like me
Someone prone to addiction, someone who opened herself up to anything
We were a dangerous mix, him and I
It was a natural recipe for disaster
But oh man did we make one hell of a mix together
I let my hands take over as they knocked on his door
His face registered shock and relief
"Eve."
That's all it took for me to come crashing into his arms
He held me like he hadn't seen me in years, squeezed me so tight I though I would explode
The only thing I'd be exploding from tonight was joy
Until a naked, skinny brunette appeared behind him at the door
