Classy, Never Trashy

"Keep your heels, head and standards high."

I was thoroughly shocked

After finding my "classy" friends high and hanging out with people we only ever talked bad about

All I could manage to do was stand there, my mouth shaped like an "O"

How could they?

These were my best friends

They were good girls;

I've known them my whole entire life

Our fathers were all corporate managers, our mother's all part of the country club,

So what sprung this up?

I could recall the countless times we all would huddle in a group and point and whisper towards those we knew were potheads, and we would say,

"Look at her, bet she didn't get enough sleep last night. Maybe it's all that crack she's been smoking..."

Then we'd laugh our heads off

So why have they chosen to be an associate of them?

I certainly wouldn't be

In fact, it was time for me to leave, and I would be dragging them with me

I pulled my absolute best friend Stacey up from the ground

 (She had difficulty getting up)

I was disappointed in her, in all of them actually

Up next came Sarah, she was easier because she didn't stagger while trying to stand up

But the real problem came with Cassie

She'd always been the wilder one in our group, so no doubt this all happened because of her curiosity

But why did she have to bring all of us into this mess, and how come I never noticed

....Just how wild she could be?

She refused to get up, and by the looks of it, she was the most messed up person in this room

Red, glassy eyes and a huge silly smirk on her face told me that

Eventually, after amusing everyone in the room with my futile attempts to get her to stand up,

I reached down and gently yanked on her hair so she would get the message

"Noooo, I don't wannaaaa go, Eveeeeee," she whined

"Well, that's too bad."

I grabbed her from underneath her arms and hauled her up

She tripped over the bong as she stood, thankfully not breaking it in the process

Wouldn't want a bunch of angry potheads after us for a broken bong

Finally, I grouped them all together, like wild horses in a herd (yeah, high horses) and lead them out the door and through the massive amount of people

Did I still stand out?

Yes, but who cared?

I was just so disappointed in my friends.
