"I killed my mother."
Parang naman akong naestatwa sa sinabi niya. I felt like I caught my tongue when he suddenly said those words. I was... shocked.
He was still looking straightly into my eyes, "I'm a son of a high-profiled druglord. I'm a criminal. Everything you see from me now is all a lie," He then paused for a second, "Will you still accept me, Rose?" He was like challenging me. Hindi naman kaagad ako nakapagsalita. Sa halip ay napalunok na lang ako.
My heart was starting to beat faster.
And the way he looks at me, it seems mysteriously dangerous.
He was like waiting for my answer but wrong.
He killed his mother. He told me he's a son of a druglord. He said he's a criminal. But why can't I answer him immediately?
"Would I be still your ideal man you wanted to be with, Sydney Rose?"
His voice... He was challenging me.
He's a criminal. Would I still accept him?
Will I still love him?
He suddenly laughed. It was sarcastic. He was like mocking me.
"That's even just the surface of me, Sydney Rose," He suddenly said, smirking, "You hesitated even if it's just the surface. How much more if you'll know the real me? Maybe, you'll even condemn me to the death." His voice seemed disappointed.
Bago pa man ako makapagsalita ay bigla ko na lang narinig ang boses ni Kuya Ezekiel sa likod ko.
"Sydney Rose."
Napalingon naman ako sa likod ko at nakita si Kuya Ezekiel na dismayado ang mukha. As usual, he was wearing his corporate attire na halatang kakagaling lang sa trabaho.
Narinig ko namang bumuntong-hininga si Attorney, "Atty. Delos Reyes, I told you to keep her off from me." Edward Vinn even crossed his arms, sounding really disappointed at Kuya Zeke.
Napabuntong-hininga naman si Kuya, "I'll warn her about it next time," He then looked at me, "Tayo na, Sydney." Kuya Ezekiel commanded authorativey.
Tinignan ko namang muli si Attorney. But his face was just cold - like he was waiting for me to get out finally from his life.
Napayuko na lang ako at sumunod na lang kay Kuya Ezekiel. Tuluyan na nga kaming nakalabas mula sa bachelor's pad nito.
I don't know. I'm so confused right now. I don't understand. Yes, I love him but I'm too confused with his sudden confession. I don't know what to think...

Tahimik lang nagmamaneho si Kuya Ezekiel habang katabi naman niya ako sa front seat. Buong akala ko ay papagalitan niya ako pero sinabihan niya lang ako na ihahatid na niya ako sa amin. Iyon lang at wala na siyang sinabing iba.
