"Caitlin, I really don't see how it went wrong though, I mean I did everything correctly and the experiment still came out wrong." Y/n spoke into the phone as she walked down the streets of Central City with few cars passing on the roads occasionally.
"Things like that happen Y/n."
"I know Cait it's jus-"
A smiling fair skinned walked up to her as he awaited her attention with a bouquet of flowers and a little teddy bear clutched in his hands.
"I'll call you back."
"Barry?" She smiled as she walked a little closer to him.
"Hey Y/n."
"What are you doing"
"I don't think a beautiful lady like you should be walking the streets of Central City alone."
"So you've come to my rescue?"
"Don't I always? Here these are for you."
"Thank you Barry. I appreciate it."
"So are you doing anything right now?"
"Well you said it yourself, I'm walking on the street alone so I would say no."
"Great, let's go somewhere?"
"Gladly."
He lifted her up bridal style as he sped to their destination where a table was set up with dinner and a few candles and flower petals around.
"Barry!"
"Okay, okay. I know it maybe much but you deserve it."
"Well thank you."
He pulled her chair out and welcomed her to sit on it as he pushed the chair slightly in. A few minutes passed as they conversed and ate the succulent food that Barry obviously cooked. Suddenly, Barry stood up and bent down on one knee with his face facing downwards making Y/n gasp but as he rose up to his feet, she was astonished to say the least.
"You're not Barry."
"Of course I'm Barry, just different."
His face was burnt on one side of his cheek and a blind eye on the same side with his hair swept down on his forehead as he looked down at her and puller her upwards where his hands wrapped around her waist and pulled her closer, to a point where she stopped struggling against him.
His fingers softly caressed her cheek as she resisted against his touch making him slightly angry, however, he hid it behind a smirk,
"Beautiful Y/n, I knew I made the wrong choice with Iris. You were the one to always treat me right, you didn't neglect me, you opened your arms towards me, I could see it now, I love you."
"What are you talking about?"
"The time will come when all will be revealed but until then, you're mine."
