The nostalgia hit you cold and hard. There you were looking through some old unwanted stuff to throw away and you found the china tea set Arthur gave you long ago. Near it was the silver necklace that he gave you during the high point in your relationship.
Emotions ruled your heart and you didn't know which one to lean on. Happy? Bitter? Indifferent?
Tears slid down your cheeks as you stroked the smooth ceramic of the cups. You were truly happy with him.
You took the gifts down from the attic and into your living room where you sat on your couch. Setting them on the coffee table, you pulled your legs to your chest and held them tight. Your thoughts settled on only one thing. The question was, were you going to do it?
Letting out a huff, you grabbed your phone before you could think twice about it.
Your heart almost stopped when you heard his voice.
"Hello?"
"I... I miss you," you croaked out.
"....I'll be right there."
