It is silent and rather sunny when I open my eyes. My body feels sore but otherwise unharmed. I was alive, but what happened? I had no recollection of any memory from last night. Did this usually happen? I had no idea. I was lying on the hardwood floor and I was pretty sure I was in my house. I sat up a tad bit, but froze when I felt a hand slide down to my waste.

I was naked and someone was lying next to me. I take a deep breath and tried to remember. I didn’t know if my father was dead or alive. I did not know if Nick made it to the airport and I had no idea if Dimitri was dead either. I slowly turn around and spot a woman who was also naked. She blonde hair. My heart beats fast and I touch the woman’s face. She opens her eyes slowly and smiles. I wrap my arms around her tight.

“Mom!” Tears stream down my face. I didn’t ever realized how much I missed her until the moment I saw her lying next to me.

“Honey. I’m so sorry. I was wrong.” She whispers in my ear. I shake my head. I love her, I love her and I missed her.

“It doesn’t even matter. I missed you!” I say and I cry harder. We hug for a few more moments before I pull away. That was when I noticed she had blood crusted in her hair and it was on her body. I look at my own arms and body and find that I have blood on me too. I look up at her.

“What happened mom?” I ask her. She stands up and hands me a blanket to wrap around myself. I kind of forgot that we were both naked.

“Your father and that one boy are dead.” She says pulling her hair into a bun. She looked warmer than when I first left. I had so many questions for her.

“What?” I say sitting up. We were in the living room and the couch was all torn, the television was on the floor and everything else was turned over.

“I came back and found my daughter a werewolf. I helped you kill your father. He was cheating on me.” She looks down at the ground. I hold her and she lets out one single tear.

“Where did you go?” I ask. She smiles.

“I decided to let my wolf free. I was just traveling nonstop and it felt fantastic. I never realized how much I missed it. I stopped my wolf because I loved your father, but he stopped loving me back a long time ago.” She says looking out the window. We stay silent for a few moments before she asks me a question.

“What about you Estelle? You’re like me now.” She says and my mother moves the hair out of my face and tucks it behind my ear.

I tell her about going to Colorado and basically everything that happened between Owen, Anne, Ronnie, Will and everyone. I told her how dad burned everything down and her eyes lit up when I spoke about saving Skye from the fire. I then started in about Russia and the rogues and how they were the ones the changed me. I then finished by telling her how I ended up back here.

“You are so strong. I’m so proud of you.” She hugs me. I guess spending time by herself was a good thing. She was in tune with her wolf again.

“Thanks. Mom, we have to go to the airport.” I say. I am surprised that she agrees and doesn’t ask any questions.

“I won’t leave you again Estelle. You are my daughter and where you go, I go.” I smile and hug her one last time.

Last night was still fuzzy and my mother didn’t really help much, but I will ask her questions later. Right now, I needed to clean up and we had to get out before Jane or anyone else showed up. I put on new clothing and my mother starts my father’s truck. We then head for the airport leaving two dead bodies in the house.
