Fourty-One

I look at myself in the mirror, this midnight blue silk gown is so beautiful. Jason surprised me with it yesterday when he told me about this party, gala type thing, we got invited to. My bump is pretty visible but Jason keeps telling me how it doesn't change how beautiful I look. He went outside to speak with the guys and more guys that are apparently our security team.

"Wow" Dani walks in, I turn around smiling
"I know right, it's so beautiful" I say
"Girl, you make it look beautiful" She says, I shake my head
"Help me clip this necklace on" I say, she nods coming over moving my hair over my shoulder as she clips it on
"There you go love, now have fun okay" She says, I nod just as Jason shows up
"Ready Miley?" He asks, I nod again and he extends his hand for me. I gladly take a hold of it and we walk out
"Careful you two" Dani says then she closes the front door behind us

Jason helps me in the van then gets in himself and we drive off, two cars like this one follow behind
"Why all the protection babe?" I ask, he takes my hand and places a kiss on it
"I'm Jason McCann and you're Princess Miley George, I can't have us walking in there as if we aren't envied" He says
"You truly believe someone would try something?" I ask, he shrugs
"People in this business are unexpected baby girl" He says
"I love you" I say after a moment of it being silent between us, he looks at me and smiles
"I love you more" He says and places his lips on mine gently, my pregnancy hormones are making me want more so I press myself onto him, he chuckles as he pulls away slightly
"Woman, you need to calm yourself" He whispers

We pull up to a very very expensive building, I know this because this exact building is the one my Dad had rented out for a huge charity ball in honor of my Moms birthday once. It was a beautiful night, all the money that was made and everything that was donated was given to three amazing programs.
"Oh, I forgot to give you this" Jason says pulling out a box, he opens it to reveal two masks, I look up at him
"Is this a masquerade?" I ask, he nods taking the silver one that matches my accessories perfectly and reaches over putting it on me
"Like the night we met" He says, I smile as he successfully ties it around me then he puts his on and steps out, he helps me out then we walk inside after he gives his people orders and we both get ear pieces with small microphones in case anything happens.

"Jason McCann!" A fairly short fat man walks over to us with a huge smile on his face and a beautiful woman on his arm
"Vegás, thank you for the invitation" Jason says shaking hands with him
"We're business partners, of course you'd be invited! Also, I was dying to meet your lovely lady" He says turning to me, Jason has his arm around my waist and I extend my hand to him
"Pleasure meeting you" I say, he places a kiss on it and smiles
"Pleasures all mine your highness" He says
"This must be your wife you've spoken so highly about" Jason says bringing the attention away from me, thankfully
"Yes, this is she" He says, she smiles and we all shake hands
"Well, enjoy yourselves. I'll see you two soon, I have to keep greeting guests" He says, Jason nods and we part ways

Ryan leads us to a table with Jason's name on it and we all sit down, I can't help but notice people staring at me
"Hey, ignore them. Focus on me" Jason says as he notices me looking around and getting visibly shy
"Why can't they at least try to make it not obvious" I say, he chuckles shrugging as he reaches over moving a strand of hair away from my cheek
"They don't matter princess, they just envy you. Your beauty, your glow, your intelligence" He whispers, I smile and lean in placing a soft kiss on his lips
"Oh damn, I see me a cutie with a bootie. I'll see y'all in a bit, hollar at me if you need me" Za says standing up and walking over to a pretty girl across the room, I giggle shaking my head

"Why don't you boys do the same? Have fun" I tell Ryan, Khalil and Alfredo
"Like homeboy said, hollar at me" Khalil says standing up as well, I look at Fredo with a raised brow
"You know you don't want to be stuck with us two love birds" I say as Jason kisses my neck, he cringes making me giggle as he quickly stands up and goes on a search

"Now, don't tell me to go. I have someone in mind and she's not here so I'm staying right here to keep an eye out for you" Ryan says, I smile
"She's not here hmm wonder who that could be" I say, he quints his eyes at me
"You have fun with Jason, I'll be your eyes and ears around you" He says
"Alright bro" Jason says as he stands up and offers me his hand
"Want to dance?" He asks me, I take it with a smile and we walk over to the dance floor

Jason places his hands on my lower back bringing me close to him and I wrap mines around his neck as we sway to the soft music playing.
"You feel okay baby?" He asks, I nod
"I feel perfect" I say, he smiles pecking my nose as we sway in a circle and move around the dance floor
"Do you think he's here?" I ask noticing his eyes roaming the room under his mask, they connect with mines and he shrugs then spins me out and brings me back in this time my back is to him
"I doubt it, but I know his people are here for him" He whispers then kisses my neck and spins me out again to bring me to our original position
"After you are successful, where do you want to live? Where should we start a home?" I ask, he smiles
"I would love to have our children grow up anywhere you'd like, in the palace so you're still fulfilling your royal duties with your family. In America somewhere beautiful and where they can have a normal life. In Canada where I grew up so I can show them how I enjoyed my childhood. I don't care where we start a home, just that we start one, just us and our children" He says, his words make my heart flutter
