Twenty-Four

I wake up to my phone ringing, I reach for it to see Danis name with the picture of us when we were younger, when we first met. I sit up clearing my throat and answer

"Hello" I say
"Shit, I woke you up. I'm sorry love " She says, I smile sighing
"Its okay, whats up?" I ask looking at the clock seeing its early, ten in the morning.
"I just wanted to check in on you, see how you were doing" She says
"I'm good" I say

"Any symptoms yet?" She asks quietly
"Dizziness, last night after eating I felt like throwing up but it never came out" I say
"In a couple days we'll get you a test, just take care of yourself alright? Don't stress too much and watch the wine" She says, I roll my eyes
"You're sounding like a mother" I say
"You're my best friend, I have to take care of you" She says making me smile

"Love you Danielle" I say
"Love you too Miles" She says then I hang up sighing. I get up and head towards the bathroom, I brush my teeth then untangle my hair. I take a quick shower then get dressed in white shorts, a white crop top with black thigh high boots and I throw on a black cardigan.

I walk downstairs seeing Pops drinking coffee, everyone seems to still be sleeping. I was going to leave last night to London but we came back really late and Joe convinced me to stay another day. The sound of my heels makes him look my way, his eyes widen
"Wow. You look beautiful" He says, I smile
"Thanks, I'm going to go meet with some friends if thats okay. I'll be back by the time everyones awake" I say, we both laugh a little and he nods
"Go ahead, have fun" He says, I kiss his cheek smiling
"Will do" I say heading towards the door, I close it behind me and Joe gets out of the car opening the back door for me

"Where to?" He asks after we're both buckled up
"The café" I say, he nods

I walk in and look to my left seeing the table Jason and I sat at when I didn't remember him, I smile slightly at the memory then a whistle makes me look to the booth in the corner on my right. I see the guys making me smile and walk towards them

"I missed you guys" I say as they stand up, each hug me
"We've missed you too Miles" Za says as we all sit down
"You look gorgeous" Taner says, I smile
"Thanks, wheres Sammie?" I ask
"She just went to the bat-" He gets cut off by a squeal making me turn around and I smile wide

"Miley!"
"Sammie!!" We both say, I stand up as she runs over and we hug
"I missed you so much" She says
"I missed you too! Oh and I got you something" I say as we sit down, she sits across from me next to Taner

"What?" She asks
"A late birthday present" I say, she smiles
"I thought you forgot I turned 7 last month" She says, I shake my head
"I have it memorized" I say, she smiles then I pull the box out of my purse and slide it to her
"Happy late birthday" I say, her smile widens and Taner mouths 'thank you' to me, I wink
"What is it?" Sammie asks
"Open it to find out" Za says, she slowly opens the box and her eyes widen

"Miley, that must've been a fortune" Taner says, I shrug
"The price doesn't matter" I say
"It's beautiful" Sammie says, I smile
"Why dont you tell your brother to put it on for you" I say, she looks at him and he nods grabbing the necklace and clipping it around her neck
"Wow, that looks expensive" Za says, I roll my eyes

"That doesn't matter, its a gift and it's supposed to bring you luck in life" I say
"Thank you Miley, I love it!" Sammie says
"You're welcome, now what did you guys want to talk to me about?" I ask looking at Ryan
"We wanted to know how you were doing, Jason is kind of worried about you being anywhere near that Derek guy" He says, I laugh a little shaking my head
