Arranged marriage

Chapter 3

I went into the living room then sat down on the couch with my coffee, I went through social media, and I was retweeting stuff on Twitter when I felt someone staring at me. I looked to see my parents glaring at me while the Kieran guy was looking at me with amusement, I raised my eyebrow at my parents, and gave Kieran a weird look.

"What is it?" I asked my parents.

"Elena we have a guest, you are being rude" my mum nags at me.

"Okay, I will put my phone away" I tell her while rolling my eyes.

My mum smiled at me then Kieran went on talking about what he does for a living, and all that crap. I lost interest in what he was talking about when he first started talking, I don't care if he is hot I just get bored easily, and I started thinking about going back to the track tomorrow during lunch. I was lost in thought thinking about me going back to the track, all of the races when someone cleared their throat, and I turned to see my dad he looks pissed off oops.

"Elena you weren't even listening were you?" My dad asked me.

"Erm if I say yes can I go to my room?" I questioned my dad.

"No, we were just talking about how you are getting married to Kieran in 3 months time" my dad tells me like it's no big deal.

"What? I'm not getting married to anyone in 3 months trust me I am only 17" I say shocked what my dad just told me.

"Elena you are getting married, you will be moving in with Kieran on Saturday so you are settled in" my mum tells me.

"YOU CAN'T DO THAT! WHY THE HELL AM I GETTING MARRIED?!" I say then asked them getting pissed.

"We need money, Kieran wants you" My dad tells me.

"OH SO I AM GETTING MARRIED TO A GUY I DON'T EVEN KNOW SON YOU CAN GET MONEY!" I yell at them.

"Yes exactly" my mum said.

I walked out of the living room then walked out of the front door while I put my earphones in, then I walked to the park, and I text Ross.

*Text messages*

To Ross
"Hey. Come get me from the park, take me to the track."

From Ross
"Hey, sure. I will  be there in 5."

I  am waiting on Ross when my phone rings, I look at the caller ID it's my dad but I roll my eyes, and let it ring out. Ross pulls up then beeps his horn, I walk over to the car get in, and put my seat belt on, and then Ross starts driving. 

"Why do you want to go to the track? You were just there" Ross asked then says to me.

"Parents pissed me off to the max" I tell him.

"What did they do?" He questions.

"Let's say I am engaged to a guy I just met" I say to Ross still pissed.

"No way. Why?" Ross says then asks.

"Yes way, it's because my parents need money also because the Kieran guy wants me" I said to Ross. 

"We are here" Ross tells me while getting out of the car.

I get out of the car, then walk with Ross so he can get me someone to race, and I was getting in my car that I race with when someone shouted me. I turned around to see Lindsey so I smile at her then Lindsey walks up to me, and smiled back at me.

"Your back racing without Nathan" Lindsay states while looking at me with a sad look.

"Yeah. I never realized how much I missed the place" I say while looking around the track.

"Well I am still gonna cheer for you" Lindsey tells me with a laugh.

"I thought you were always cheering for Nathan. You know the little fan club he had" I tell her with a smile.

"Yeah that fan club that's now cheering for the top guy. I swear they just cheer for anyone who is number 1" Lindsey says with a fake glare.

I nod at her then got in my car because the person I am racing is already waiting for me at the start/finish line,and I put my music on. I make my way to where the person is waiting for me to race them,  when we get the go sign we start racing, and I was behind the person until we got to the corner, the person went faster which made him spin while I braked so I wouldn't spin, and because of that I won the race. I got out of the car, everyone was cheering, and I was happy but that changed when I realized that Nathan isn't here to cheer for me. I walked up to Ross as well as Lindsey who was kissing Cameron,I looked at Ross he smiled at me, and pulled me into a hug. 

I hugged him back but pulled away when it started to feel awkward then Ross, and I made our way back home because I need to face my parents at sometime. I walked in the house then walk into the living room to see my parents drinking which didn't surprise me at all, since it's all they ever do, and I sighed out loud before I made my way up to my room, and got changed into pjs. I put my phone on charge then got into bed thought about today, and then fell asleep.
