Marinette called Alya to join them and she happily came.

"Hey guys," she hugged both of them, when they met at the cafe.

"Where's Nino?" Marinette asked, Alya shrugged.

"I don't have him on a leash, so I'm not sure," Alya joked, while Adrien knew exactly where he was. They talked for an hour, before they went separated ways.

Adrien had some plans with Marinette, so he dragged her over to Love lock. They walked over the bridge and looked at the boats floating on Seine.

"Why are we here?" Marinette asked.

"Can't we just spend some quality time together?" he laughed and she shook her head.

Adrien became serious in a matter of a second and interwined their fingers. Marinette was a little confused, when he pulled out a black box from his pocket.

Her eyes were moving from the box to his face. "Hey, don't worry, I'm not proposing," he laughed, when he saw her shocked face. "...yet,"

Marinette let out a breath she didn't even know was holding and shook her head. "It's for your birthday. I never got the chance to give it to you," he smiled and gave her the box.

"Y-You remembered," she was suprised. "But you didn't have buy me anything,"

"I was planning to take you on a date yesterday, but I guess it didn't go according to plan," he smiled. "Open it. I hope you like it,"

Before she opened it, she placed one hand on his cheek and pulled him into a kiss.

"What was that for?" Adrien asked.

"For everything," she wrapped her arms aroud his waist, burying her head into his chest.

"You know that you haven't even opened the gift yet,"

"I know,"

They stood in each other's arms for a few minutes in silence.

He was happy, because he finally succeeded. She was his and there was no way he'd let her go now. She was his and that was final.

He smirked into her hair and held her even tighter than he was holding her before.

"Adrien," she let out a breath. "Don't kill me,"

He moved away, realizing her was holding her too tight. She laughed and looked at the box. "Okay, let's see what you got me, kitty cat,"

"Kitty cat?" he narrowed his eyes.

She blushed. "Well you do represent a cat, so I-I thought..-"

He kissed her forehead and nodded. "I know."

She carefully opened the box, seeing two polka-dotter earrings in the box. "Woah, they are beautiful,"

"I love it, thank you," she thanked him and put earrings on.

"It suits you," he smiled. He looked up at the sky and felt a drop fall on his nose. "Great, it started raining,"

She giggled, but she felt something wet on her cheek, so she stopped and turned around to go home. "Not sure about you, but I don't want to be wet,"

"Yeah, let's go," he said, but right that moment it started pouring. Adrien groaned and looked at the sky, silently cursing everyone he could that moment.

"Let's go," she pulled him, but he stopped her and pressed a kiss to her lips. She was confused at first, but she returned it and smiled into the kiss.

They pulled away soon after. He pressed his forehead against hers and closed her eyes. "I love you so much, princess,"

This was her chance. To return his words. "I-I lo..-" "Hey you two!"

Nino ran towards them, with umbrella above his head. He was with Alya, who was holding another umbrella.

Marinette cursed her luck and waved at them.

"Oh god, you're soaking wet," Alya laughed. "Here ya go,"

She gave her umbrella to the couple, while she stepped under Nino's. "Thanks,"

"What are you doing here?" Marinette asked and pressed herself to Adrien's warm body. He wrapped his arm around her, making her feel safe.

"We decided to go for a walk, when it started raining," she looked sternly at Nino. "I told you to take the umbrella, but nooo, you didn't want it, so I took two,"

Adrien laughed at Nino's red face. It was visible that he was really in love with Alya, even if it was only his order to distract her to get to Marinette.

"Well, we're gonna steal this umbrella and go," Marinette laughed, before saying goodbye to them.

The walk home was quiet. Adrien took the oppurtunity to slip his hand into Marinette's, so they walked home hand in hand.

When they were both done with showering (a/n NOT TOGETHER YOU PERVERTS!!!!!!11), Marinette flopped down on the couch, closing her eyes.

"Why so tired, princess?" he asked, raising one eyebrow.

"I don't know," she shrugged, sighing. Adrien smirked as the lay on top of her, making her squeak. "Get off me!"

He started tickling her, making her roll and twist around. "A-Adrien stop! You k-know what happened the last t-time!" she let out between giggles.

Adrien stopped for a second and leaned down to her ear. "I'm not wearing a mask this time,"

He sighed and lay on top of her carefully not to press too much weight on her. Adrien closed his eyes, thinking of all the things that happened to him.

He remembered why he fell for Marinette. She was the first person to actually care. To see how hurt he actually was, to see how many things he's gone through.

Little did he know that she was thinking the same thing.

"Adrien?" he hummed in reply. "Why did you even fall for me?"
