The Guard before the mighty King trembled as he watched his Master's face become consumed with pure rage. The guard, a much younger and weaker vampire than his ruler, wanted nothing more than to flee the room. The King would have stopped him before the young guard could even turn in the direction of the exit. He knew the moment he set foot into the throne room only moments prior that his King would be furious at the news he had to bear. With a trembling voice the Guard had explained the situation to his King, his voice shook and became more hesitant as he visibly watched His Lord's expression become more and more displeased.

The anger of the monarch wasn't directed at his Army's inability to do anything correctly; it was aimed at his greatest enemy. Somehow that blasted boy seemed to know each and every move the feared ruler would make, but how? how?! The king did not know, but he intended on finding out.

"Repeat yourself," The King snapped, not caring for the Guard's discomfort, and yes fear. The King was quite used to people looking upon him with fear filled eyes.

"As planned Your Highness, we went to invade one of the villages in Yuivaria, to send a message to that King that our forces are not to be taken lightly. He has been making a mockery of all our attempts lately. When we arrived, we were intercepted by several forces that outnumbered our own! We are not yet sure how he knew exactly which village we had planned to strike, but he knew, he always does."

The Guard had gotten the information from one of the surviving soldiers. The soldier had instructed the Guard to deliver the news to their King Immediately. The Soldier himself had the excuse of helping carry the wounded, so he didn't have to come before The Cold Grace himself. That left the young Guard to do the Soldier's dirty work, and now here he stood.

"That is a problem," The King said, clearly irritated. "Has any of our inside sources determined the source of which his knowledge arises?"

The Guard hated to utter the three simple words that would further upset his ruler. "No your Highness."

"So," The king said as he put the full force of his piercing gaze on the Guard. "You have no good news to offer me?" The King's tone was low and cruel as he rose to his feet. The young Guard quickly stumbled backward. "You know how I greatly despise bad news..." There was nothing the Guard could think to say, and nothing he could say would save him anyway. The King was angry, and he needed an outlet for that anger.

"Please your Highness," the Guard Stuttered as he continued attempting to lengthen the distance between himself and the advancing royal vampire.

"A man does not beg another man for his life, He realizes when his time has come to an end, just as yours has at this moment." His sharp teeth were bared and waiting; the Guard was beyond petrified just as the King liked his kills to be. The King had been about to lunge at the Guard, ending the pathetic fool's life. The only thing that stopped him was a higher ranking Guard bursting forth into the room and speaking the words the dark ruler had longed to hear for so Long.

"Your Highness! We found it, We have discovered how the King knows of all we are planning!"

A victorious and triumphant smile crossed the King's lips. He is now not going to kill the young Guard out of anger, but out of celebration.

Fangs bared, the king lunged.
