(Aishwarya's POV)

He grabbed my hand impulsively, with a wide grin spreading across his face.

“I want you to meet someone!”

“Noooo, I don’t like coffee though, I hate it!”

“You don’t have to!” We were roaming the airport, bored.

“Come on, we have hours before your dad’ arrives. Just because his flight got delayed does not mean I’m going to sit here, waiting.”

“But I want to come and hug him as soon as I see him!” I protested.

“Fine, I’ go by myself.” He leaned closer towards me. “By the way, I’m sure that man over there would love to have you to him himself.”

I stiffened and glanced nervously over to where he was indicating. Urghhh, I hate being a girl, can’t even go around walking around in public.

“It’s the airport,” I moaned as I reluctantly followed his footsteps. “I could be studying in this time!”

“Chup! You know you wouldn’t, it’s too hot to study right now. Relax. You know what? You’re always stuck on one thing; study study study. Aishwarya, if you want to do well in life you need a balance- and stop saying you want to study. I know half the time you’re in your room you’re just procrastinating.”

“Yeah, alright, leave it.” I did not want to pursue an argument with him now.

The rich scent of coffee beans grinding. The crowd that was slowing dying as the afternoon buzz slowed down. The cleanliness of the airport was matched in the shop as well. I think Indira Gandhi International Airport was the only public area in Delhi that was clean- no dust, clean toilets-cleaner than the public hospitals and as clean as the private ones.

“There’s cake!” I exclaimed as I looked behind the counter.

“ Could you please get me a -,” Akash turned to the lady behind the counter.

“Tiramusi Cake!” I blurted.

Akash laughed. “Yeah, that and a chai latte please.”

“Akash!” A tall, smiling Indian man waved at him.

“Ravi bhai!” Akash came up to him. “You know about Aishwarya, right? I brought her here!”

It was only then he realised I was there.

“Hi! How are you? I’m Ravi Singh.”

“He is a good friend of mine, we are similar in so many ways.” Akash glanced at me nervously.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat. I’m so confused.

“Hi,” I replied shyly, craning my neck to see him. I held my hand out respectfully. He took it and smiled. “Now we are friends as well!” he said joyfully.

“Soooo, do you work here?” I looked around the shop. It had a pleasant, serene atmosphere.

“Haan, I’m the manager of this place,” he stated proudly.
