We arrived a little later than planned since Justin kept distracting me I drove down my road passing nothing but trees this view is way different from the city there are only a few neighbors close and there is a good distance between each house I pulled into my driveway. Everyone was outside on the newly built porch I told my mom not to make a big deal out of my home coming but it looks like everyone is here. I parked the car and got Addy out of her car seat she slept most the way so she's well rested

I walked up to the house everyone began yelling over each other to say hello and ask questions about how I've been. I did my best to answer as quickly as I could my mom walked over and hugged me

"We're so glad you're home." She said "Me too but this was supposed to be small..." I said "I know but everyone was just so excited to see you." She said fame has a funny way of making your relatives more interested in you. She tried to reach for Addy but Addy clung to me tightly and buried her head in my neck "Just give her a minute to warm up." I said rubbing Addy's back.

We ate and I chatted with everyone for a couple hours my mom came over and tried to get Addy to come see her now "It's okay baby remember Nana you face time her sometimes." I said turning her so she could see my mom after a couple seconds of consideration she reach for her.

"I've missed you you're getting so big." She said "I'm going to take my stuff in and go call Justin I'll be back out." I said "Okay sweetie." She said walking away from me to introduce everyone to Addy. I grabbed my bag from the car and walked back inside I took my bag to my old room and sat down on the bed I grabbed my phone and called Justin "Hello?" He answered "Hey babe we made is safe." I said "Oh good how'd she do on the ride?" He asked "It's definitely different than a tour bus she didn't like the seat the whole time but she fell asleep for most of the ride." I said "Good. So I miss you already." He said

I couldn't help but smile "I know I miss you too." I said "Well babe I gotta get ready to go on stage." He said "Yeah I better get back out there." I said "Good luck and I love you." I said "Thanks baby I love you too." He said we hung up and I went back outside I looked around for my mom and Addy

My mom hurried over to me "Don't be mad." She said "About what?' I asked looking around and then I spotted Addy my stomach dropped when I saw who was holding her it was Charity's mom. I took a deep breath and walked over trying not to completely lose my cool "Hello Sandra." I said "Oh hello Aaliyah she is beautiful." She said as soon as Addy saw me she reach for me and I quickly reach back for her. I grabbed her from her "I'm sorry to just show up like this but I heard you were gonna be home and I wanted to see her." She said "I understand I wish I would have known to prepare..." I said "I know I'm sorry I mentioned it to your aunt I figured she'd tell you..." he said "Must've slipped her mind." She added

"So I heard Charity is doing good." I said "Yeah she is doing great... I wish she would have got things together before and kept the baby." She said and there it was the moment I was dreading the remorse of giving up Addy "I know but I give her a good life." I said trying not to be snobby but wanting to get my point across "I know you do sweetie it'd just be nice to have a grandchild..." She said "I understand but that was Charity's choice and Addy is good where she's at." I said

Addy began to cry which was the perfect excuse to get away I shushed her and walked her inside "What's wrong?" I asked her "Dada!" She whined "I know baby we'll see him soon." I hushed to her she laid her head on my shoulder "Are you sleepy?" I asked she rubbed her eyes "Me too..." I said "Let's to say goodnight to everyone." I said

We walked back outside "Well it's been a long day so we're going to hit the hay." I said "Aw alright Sweetie." My mom said we hugged everyone and said goodnight then we went inside I changed into something comfy and changed Addy into pajamas I laid down in bed Addy laid on my chest and after a few short minutes of me rubbing her back she fell asleep.
