Dalia was anything but fine with her so called ex finding his mate in the form of the packs Beta of all people. Besides the obvious humiliation this might disrupt her plan in a bad way.

Midnight Moon already had a considerable advantage with sheer numbers. And she was powerful in her day but a whole pack with its Alpha, Beta and Enforcers was foolish to take on for half witch vessel. She'll have to wait, patients is a virtue and for now she will stay on the offensive. Tonight's ruse however is more of an distraction than a serious attack. Some of the vampires she had called upon had an acquired taste for wolfs blood while others found it disgusting. The former thou found it absolutely tantalizing when their food fought back. She counted on their bloodlust to give them enough bravado against the elite wolfs of Midnight Moon. She just hoped they will go with the plan and not muck it up. Because unlike shifters vampires had no loyalty with their calculating nature will always choose the best deal. And the one she offered was very appealing. With a strong pack like this there's bound to be some casualties. No matter its their faults if they get bitten back and injected with werewolf venom or worse killed. And it was a dreaded thing because vampires suffered from pain, paranoia and hallucinations and too much of it could kill a turned. So as the pack celebrates the vamps will approach under a clocking spell of course thanks to their undercover resident witch.
She had to stop this mating ceremony from happening. She didn't need this pack to be strengthened anymore then it already was. Alpha and Beta both being males will add considerable power to the pack. With no Luna to balance things out. Only brute strength and power will come from this bond.

After she selected the black dress or war gear as she liked to think about it she couldn't help but grin back at her mirror image. This girl she inhabits is your run of the mill bad girl with bitchy attitude but now she totally looked the part too. The black number was strapless showing enough skin not to mention accentuated her bosom. Now she herself served as a distraction to all the unmated males and even some females these days. Spraying a vile containing crimson liquid onto her neck and she quickly left the room. With a sinister smile she headed towards Hunter's room.

"There is nothing wrong with your outfit." Lyla shook her head as she pointed a finger at Dewald. "There is mister if your referring to it being a outfit, my granny wears an outfit." Lyla pointed an accusing finger back at him as she stood in front of her full length mirror. Dewald was about to plop down on her bed when she yelled. "Stop you will crush my bag!" Rolling his eyes he grabbed it and placed it onto her bedside draw much to her relief. "You know for a girl your rooms is really messy." He mused spreading his arms wide around him. Lyla just stuck her tongue out at him while he gave her a disapproving shake of the head. After they both finally agreed on something for her to wear they rushed out of the room. "And here I was thinking it was my night." Dewald called after her as he closed the door.

Hunter stared down at the moonstone in the ring for his mate. It was special, rare and gorgeous just like him. Pocketing it in his black suite jacket he walked down the hall but someone stepped in front of him. He would have growled but he kept his face passive. "Dalia what can I do for you?" He drawled while taking in her wardrobe that was way to revealing for him now. Seeing his scrutinizing gaze she lifted a perfect brow. "You don't like?" She asks while she did a little twirl while smiling sweetly. But he didn't buy it. "You look fine, now if you will excuse me." He tried to move past her but she placed a manicured hand on his chest stopping him again. He was glaring down at her hand restraining his wolf from snapping at her. She reluctantly removed her hand as she felt him stiffen under her touch and his low grow making his displeasure known. A sound her former self found really sexy but was now a clear warning not sounds of appreciation. But she did step closer whispering up to his ear as if his hostile behavior was of no concern. "Can't say I'm not a little hurt that you didn't come do the decent thing and break things of with me first before taking the help." Hunter growled pinning her against the wall. "I don't owe you an explanation about our little fake relationship ship witch hag." He leaned forward flashing his canines dangerously close to her neck. "Oh dear always so rough are we." She laughed not fighting his hold on her. "Relax Hunter baby I congratulate you. All is fair in love and war. Besides we both used each other, and I enjoyed every moment of it I won't lie." She gyrated her hips against him while licking her lips for emphasis. Hunter released her as if burned. Sending her one last glare as he vanished down the hall. Dalia rubbed her wrist while her sweet smile morphed into something twisted.

"You OK son?" Xavier questions closing his laptop. Hunter shakes his head then nodded meekly."I'm fine, had a run in with Dalia that all." Xavier gave him a knowing look before standing up. They walked out to balcony together both of them roughly the same size and built Xavier only slightly taller. "I really wanted to become a commander in Pack Law but now everything has changed." Xavier said nothing as he gazed out in to the territory. "I understand why everyone thought that I was abandoning Midnight Moon." Hunter turned to him looking down guiltily. "I'm sorry for not thinking about the pack dad. And thanks for supporting me regardless." Xavier pulled him in for crushing hug. He could feel his sons surprise by his stiff and awkward response. But he didn't pay it any mind because he knows why. He not the hugging type at least not since... He pushed that thought away for now as he says calmly. "You don't have to apologies son, I'm proud of you always have been." He finished, clearing his throat they pulled back but didn't move apart as they stared into woods and pack houses below. "Likewise dad I can't wait to lead this pack like you did. You are my family and Dewald is my future." Xavier glanced at him sideways. "Were you surprised?" Hunter nodded twice. "That is the understatement of the year." He chuckled meting his father's gaze. "At first it was a major shock that quickly turned to wonder when we locked eyes. It's like I saw him for the first time. When we touched it was like I'm buzzing with energy that brought pleasure everywhere we touched." He smirks in remembrance. Xavier clasped his shoulder. "I know the feeling son." He winks. Hunter had plans for his future that has changed since he found his mate but he would not have it any other way. Plus him and his dad were OK again. Xavier was more than disappointed when his son told him he wanted to join Pack Law even thou he didn't show it. But he tried supporting him instead. And for a short time they weren't on speaking terms like they used to be. Xavier immersing himself with pack duties and Hunter signing up for the training camp at Pack Law. But as Hunter advanced through the levels he couldn't help but feel good at his son progress in the skills and knowledge he obtained and excelled in.

There were three basic forms a shifter had. The human one that had some of the abilities like strength and agility. Yet smell and hearing were not as strong as in the other two forms being the partial shift and wolf form. There was also the Legendary Lycan form that only the pure bloodlines could achieve according to the elders that have seen it. To the modern shifter today these stories were just folklore and myths like the city of Atlantis. Chase closed the book he was reading. He found the old book in a dusty shelve among packs history and lost track of time reading through the old yellowed stained pages. He was so immersed in shifter hierarchy he completely lost track if time. He just about jumped five feet when he noticed the time. He was the only one left in the pack library after deciding to complete a project that was due the next day. Miss Quinn the librarian trusted him to lock up after he was done. After locking up he noticed he was completely alone and grinned mischievously reaching into his jacket pocket. He sat down in the shadows and pulled out a flat tin container. He smiled at its contents. "Fire burn yah man." He whispers then chuckled amused at his own joke. After he lid the biggest joint he leaned back on his elbows watching the smoke drift overhead. He was beginning to get a buzz because of the black hemlock added into the concoction. The special ingredient that could take a shifter on a trip like no other human drug can. His eyes were beginning to glaze over but that's when he saw it. It was quick and a lesser being would've just seen a flash. But he saw them leap five figures dressed in black with blood red eyes glowing like lasers. He clumsily got to his feet but knew in his current condition he was hardly a treat so board casted through the pack link. Intruders Midnight Moon there are...
"Thump"
He was cut off by a blow from behind followed by fangs biting into his neck making him gasp in surprise. He wanted to struggle but his limbs felt like jelly against the two sets of iron grips. And slowly everything went dark as he heard a voice say. "I want a taste too."
