I had opened my door the following morning to let in the bright sunlight along with opening all the windows. I inhaled deeply and let it out on a sigh. From today on, I wouldn't allow myself to cry anymore tears regarding my departure from the Academy or missing my friends. I'd always see them again, this I knew as a fact. Plus, Elliot had told me he loved me. I released a giddy sigh and fell back on my bed, my mind drawing up the memory of mine and Elliot's goodbye as I bit my lip and squealed loudly, causing Ace to stir awake from his curled up sleeping position on my pillow. "Sorry, Ace," I apologized.
Ace yawned and stretched his limbs like that of a cat. "It's fine. I needed to get up, anyway." Ace flew up to settle himself on my shoulder then. "So what's the plan for today, Big Sis?"
I sat up with a grin, my Familiar still perched on my shoulder. "Well, first we let everyone know we're back home." I grabbed my wand from my nightstand only to pause and stare down at the teal colored wood in my hand. I frowned and gave it a gentle flick. Nothing happened. My frown deepened as I waved it once more. Still, nothing happened. Did I somehow lose my Magic after Aura brought me back? "Hey, Ace?" I turned to my Familiar as he frowned down at my wand as well.
"What's wrong with it?" My Chibi Fox sniffed curiously at my teal blue wand.
I slowly shook my head. "I don't know," I mumbled, and set it back down on my nightstand. "Well, I'll just deal with it later, so let's go say hello to everyone first."
