Took her away without a word.

After she died, Mark changed. I could see it at my mother’s funeral, the dead look in his eyes that made it look as if nothing else mattered to him anymore. He stopped acting like a father, started taking on the traits of an asshole. At first, I didn’t blame him.

But after a few years it started getting annoying.

Everyone gets me mixed up with Mark when it comes to my mother. Everyone thinks I’m the one that went crazy after she died, the one who couldn’t bear the pain of losing her mother, bear the thought of only having a father.

I was the girl who made every mistake just because my mother passed away.
