Lucas pov

I took Riley in my room. she looked around in amazement I could see a sparkle in her eye it made me happy to see a smile on her face. I feel so bad for her she should never have to go through all this I feel sorry for her about what happened with her dad and her and I hope they work it out but at the same time I'm glad she's gonna live here. she was walking around my room when she tripped on something. I ran over and caught her before she hit the ground. we locked eyes and just stayed like that. I could stay like this forever I just want to protect her and never let her out of my arms. soon she snapped out of our daze and stood in front of me. she looked a little nervous for some reason.

Lucas:hey what's wrong

Riley:*looks up* oh nothing I'm fine *plasters a fake a smile*

Lucas:you sure *raises an eyebrow*

Riley:yeah totally

Lucas:come on princess what's wrong you know you can tell me- *she cuts him off*

Riley:I SAID I'M FINE

Lucas:*shocked and looks down*

Riley:*sighs held his hand and sat on the bed* I'm sorry it's just, I'm still kinda unstable from what happened with my dad today

Lucas:it's ok I understand princess, hey why don't we watch a movie?

Riley:*smiles brightly* ok

Lucas:great, you pick out the movie and I'll get the stacks

Riley:sure

Riley pov

I got up from the bed, got on Netflix, and clicked on high school musical 1. I love hsm. 3minutes later Lucas came in with what it looked like the whole kitchen. he sat the stacks down on his bedside table, climbed into bed with me, and he put his arm around me.

Lucas:what are we watching?

Riley:hsm 1 *smiles*

Lucas:*groans*

Riley:*gives him an angry look and smacks him playfully on the chest* hey hsm is a classic

Lucas:sure

Riley:ugh whatever *turns to the tv and starts the movie*

*Soon the movie gets to the part where zack and Gabriella sing start of something new at the karaoke New Years party*

Riley:ohh I love this part *squeals* every time I sing this I wish I had someone to sing with me *looks down*

Lucas:*got an idea and smirked to himself soon the music started and he started singing*

*They both finish singing and just gaze into each other's eyes*

Riley:*thinking this is just a game he's gonna get tiered of me I know it* um I think we should go to bed we have to go to school tomorrow *getting off the floor and onto the bed*

Lucas:*kinda hurt* oh um yeah, your right *gets on the bed with her*

Riley:hey um I forgot my pjs so um could I barrow some of your clothes I mean *she trails off*

Lucas:*puts his hand on top of hers* it's no problem *kisses her cheek gets off the bed and gets one of his boxers and long sleeve shirts out of his dresser and hands it to her* here ya go *smiles at her*

Riley:uh thanks *gets off the bed gives him a real quick smile and goes into the bathroom*

I go in the bathroom and catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror ugh why won't Lucas admit this is all just some stupid game break my heart and get it over with. I mean honestly the only way he would wanna go out with me besides a game is if someone payed him to go out with me. I guess I'll just have to wait and be prepared for the day he breaks my heart when it comes. I take off my clothes and put on Lucas's red long sleeve shirt that looks like a dress on me because it's so long and big. then I put on his boxers, take my hair tie out of my hair and let my hair flow over my shoulders. I take one more glimpse of myself in the mirror and walk out of the bathroom. I see Lucas deep in thought probably thinking of a way to break up with me. I walk over to the other side of the bed and lay next to Lucas. He snaps out of his thoughts when he realizes I'm next to him. he looks down at me and smiles.

Lucas:hey princess

Riley:hi *weakly smiles*

Lucas:Hey what's wrong? *moves closer to her so there's barely any space between them*

Riley:nothing, just tiered

Lucas:You sure *concerned*

Riley:*slightly smiles* positive

Lucas:ok but you can tell mr anything you know that right?

Riley:yeah I know

Lucas:good *kisses her softly on the top of her head* night princess

Riley:night lukey *cuddles into him*

Lucas:*turns off his lamp looks down at Riley and sees she's fast asleep even though she asleep he whispers to her I love you princess kisses her once more on the head and then he let's the sleep take over and they fall sleep in each other's arms*

Sorry I didn't update until now my cousin spent the night and I didn't get any sleep at all 😷 anyway hope you liked the chapter and can you guys give me some ideas for the next chapter cuz I'm running out of ideas so if you comment some ideas that would help me a lot and thank you guys so much for 3k reads you guys are the best
