Varnika's POV

I came a bit early from the office, and today I've decided to make dinner.
I don't usually cook, not because I don't know how to cook...but bhabhi and mom don't let me cook.
According to them, I'm already busy with the office and work load...so in my free time I must relax. I like cooking and almost know every dish.

Mom is just sitting in front of me.
This is my favourite time, in my childhood I used to sit at the kitchen counter while mom cooked. Chit-chatting with mom is the best form of therapy.
I was kneading the dough and suddenly my phone rang.

"Mummy dekho na kiska phone hai", I asked mom while I was just busy with the dough.

(Mom, look at whose Calling?)

"Teri hone wali sasu-ma kaa", she said and I paused.

(Your soon-to-be mother-in-law)

It's his mother? Why's she calling me right now? Did something happen? Sasu-ma kya hota hai? Mere Ghar Wale itne excited kyu hai bhagwan ji????
(Why is my family so excited)

"Okay, speaker pay daldo", I said in a low voice.

(Okay, put it on speaker)

"Namaste aunty", I greeted before she could speak.

(Hello aunty)

"Namaste bache, how are you?", her sweet voice was just melodious.

(Hello dear, how are you?)

"Mai badhiya hu aunty, aap bataiye", I asked.

Madhu aunty is just opposite from his son, sweet.pleasant.sunshine.
Everyone in his family is sweet and polite.
Ek vahi Banda itna khadoos hai.

"Mai badhiya hu beta, busy to nhi ho tum?", she asked.

"Ji nhi aunty, mai Aaj jaldi Ghar aa gai thi...dinner bna Rahi hu", I said while my mom was looking at me with so much happiness and shine.

"Arey waa, meri hone wali bahu to har kaam mai perfect hai", she praised me and I couldn't control it but blushed.

"Achha beta mummy kaha hai, mai unko pehle phone karne walli thi par socha tumse baaat krlu pehle", she said and I turned the phone towards mumma.

"Ji yahi par hai, aap baat kriye", I spoke and sat at the counter while mom was talking to her.

"Ji kaisi hai aap, ghar mai sab kaise hai", my mom asked.
Oh my god, literally they are all behaving like I'm getting married tomorrow.

"Ham sab badhiya, achha kal mahashivratri hai aur hamare yaha pratha hai shiv mandir jakar shiv ji ki Pooja karne ki parampara, khas kar jode mai", his mom said.

(We are all good, well tomorrow is Mahashivratri and it is our tradition to go to Shiva temple and worship Lord Shiva, especially couples)

Yes, tomorrow is mahashivratri and I'm very excited. It's my favourite festival.
My mom always taught me that no matter where you live or how much grown up you are, one should always respect and follow their culture and religion.

"Ji hamare yaha bhi sab taiyaari ya chal rahi hai" my mom said.

(Yes, we're also busy with the preparations)

"Maine hmare pandit ji se baat Kari thi, ab jab finally Agastya aur Varnika sath mai hai to kyu na iss baar dono family sath mai ye Abhishek kare", his mom said and my jaw dropped.

What is happening??
Shiv ji kya chahte hai aap?? Nahi ek baar mai bata dijiye, ye baar baar jhatke kyu dete hai..?

"Arey ye to bahot achi baat hai, Agastya aur Varnika mahashivratri ke shubh din sath mai Pooja kare isse achi baat kya ho sakti hai", god my mom is so damn happy and excited.
