Chapter 43 – Small World

Since Vice's sister was only on vacation for four days, Vice wanted to make sure that his sister would have her best time in Baguio. Emma suggested that they go shopping the next day so Vice took his family to SM Baguio. For the past two hours, they had been walking around the malls and Emma bought pasalubong for her friends in the States.

Nag punta din sila ng salon para magpa-gupit. Nakaupo lang si Vice habang hinihintay matapos sila Emma at Nanay Rosario. Habang busy siya sa paglalaro ng Candy Crush, hindi nya napansin na tapos na pala sila. Nakatayo lang ang dalawa sa harapan ni Vice. Vice looked up and he smiled at them.

"Wow naman! Fresh! Blooming oh!" sabi nito with matching palo ng baba sabay turo sakanilang dalawa. Tinawanan naman siya nila Nanay Rosario at Emma.

"Ate, punta po tayo dun!" Nico said excitedly and pulled his sister's hand to the arcade.

The three of them played basketball, nagpataasan sila ng score. After ng first round, tumigil na muna si Anne at pinanood na lang ang dalawa. Tawang tawa naman si Anne sa magkapatid dahil napaka-competitive ng dalawa. After three rounds ng basketball, panalo si Nico by a few points lang. Karylle had taught him well.

"Ate, Tita Anne! Hockey po tayo! Yun oh!" sabi ni Nico habang tinuturo ang air hockey game. The two woman were kneeling down, Karylle was wiping his back while Anne powdered him.

"Yes, Nico. We will go there. Pero punas muna kasi basang basa ka na ng pawis." Sagot ni Anne. Pagkatapos nila punasan si Nico, tumakbo na ito papunta sa air hockey machine.

"Ano? Two vs one?" Karylle asked the two. Nico nodded impatiently. Ang daya! Talo ako nito!"Anne complained, Karylle and Nico just laughed at her.

Pagkatapos sa arcade, super hyper pa rin si Nico habang sila Anne at Karylle wala ng energy. Habang naglalakad sila sa mall, "Ice-cream!" sigaw ni Nico at hinila ang dalawa papunta sa dessert shop. Napangiti na lang ang dalawa habang umiiling.

"Nay, anong inumin mo?" tanong ni Vice habang nakapila sa bilihan ng pag kain.

"Sprite na lang ako anak." Sagot naman ng nanay ni Vice.

Pagkatapos bumili ni Vice ng popcorn at drink, hinintay na lang nila hanggang sa bumukas yung gate para sa Jurassic World.

"Pinainom mo ba ng kape 'tong si Nico kanina? Ang taas ng energy eh!" Anne said jokingly. Karylle just shook her head, smiling and continued to eat her ice-cream.

"Tita Anne, try mo po 'to. Masarap! Promise!" Nico said before offering his rocky road ice-cream cone. His face was filled with ice-cream. Both Anne and Karylle laughed at him before Anne wiped his face.

"Ano oras na ba? Hindi ba tayo malelate sa movie?" Karylle asked her. They booked three movie tickets earlier to Jurassic World. Anne double checked the tickets again and she checked her watch afterward.

"May 10 minutes pa tayo." She replied.

Once they were done eating, they left and took the escalator to the top floor where the cinema was. Nico was so excited that he was mimicking the sounds of dinosaurs on their way to the cinema and both Anne and Karylle just chuckled to this.

"Ayan! Nagbukas na. Let's go!" Vice cheered. He had seen all three movies before and loved dinosaurs when he was a kid. The three of them walked as a group, showed their tickets and headed inside the theatre.

"Seriously, Nico? You still want popcorn?" Anne asked the little boy and he responded with a nod. "Yup yup!"

"And hotdog!" he added and beamed.
