Untold Stories (II)

The one about Karylle

Kakatapos lang mag dinner ng magkatapid. Agad na pumunta si NIco sa living room at kinuha ang remote sa TV. Pagkatapos ni Karylle maghugas ng mga plato, tinabihan nya ang kapatid sa sofa. Walang imik ang dalawa at tahimik lang na nonood. Bigla naman narinig ni Nico ang pagsinghap ng kapatid kaya tinignan niya ito.

"Ate, are you crying?" agad naman pinunasan ni Karylle ang luha at umiling.

"Hindi, inaantok lang ako." She lied and pretended to yawn. "Tulog na tayo Nico, may pasok ka pa bukas."

Pagkatapos nya patulugin si Nico, dumiretso na siya sa kwarto nya. She cried herself to sleep that night, and the night after that, and the night after. It's been a month since their break-up pero wala pa rin nagbabago. Mahal pa rin niya si Vice. She thought it would be easy to move on now that he's not around. She heard he left the city pero di niya alam kung saan siya pumunta.

She was busy finishing some paperwork when her phone suddenly vibrated. She immediately took the phone, expecting the text to be from Vice. But who is she kidding? Syempre hindi na magpaparamdam yun. Siya na mismo mo nagsabi na iba ang hanap nya. She should be mad at him for hurting her. Pero bakit mahal pa rin niya? She sighed. It was a text from Anne.

Girl, busy ka? Lunch tayo. I'm craving for Chinese food.

Busy ako.

Lunch pa naman eh. Cge naaaa.

She ignored her last text and locked her phone. Few minutes later, her phone rang.

"Bakit?"

"Wala man lang hello?" pagbibiro ni Anne. "So lunch tayo mamaya?"

"Titignan ko. Madami pa kasi akong kelangan tapusin eh." Pagdadahilan nya. Hindi naman sa ayaw ni Karylle makasama si Anne, alam nya kasing tatanungin siya nito kung okay na siya at ayaw na nyang pag-usapan si Vice.

"Hindi naman mawawala yan eh. Cge na. Puntahan kita jan." Karylle sighed.
