"Marie! Marie, where'd you go?"
I frantically raced through each room in the house, with a plate full of finger food in my hand, searching for my lost, three-year old daughter.
"Where are you, Sweety?"
Her quiet, tinkling voice answered from down the hall.
"I'm in hewe, daddy," she said, giggling.
I sighed with relief and started to walk towards her closed door.
"Whatcha doing, Pumpkin?"
I heard the clinking of plastic and glass, and then another giggle.
"Playin' tea pawty wiff my new fwiend!"
I stopped walking.
New friend?
Nobody had come in or left the house since yesterday.
"Who's your new friend, Marie," I asked, slowly opening the door.
Marie giggled as I dropped the plate of food and screamed.
" Hello, Binxy."
