a forever type of love

Congratulations

leah and i had training today with the girls before our game on sunday against manchester united

we both got dressed and i drove us to training as per usual

she held my hand the entire journey and stroked my hand with her thumb

"i think i'm going to tell the girls today about us being official" she said with excitement in her voice

"half of them already gathered we were together" i replied whilst laughing

"yes i know but i want it to come from me" she said and took a deep breath "that's if it's okay with you?"

"of course it's okay with me baby, i want nothing more than to be public with you" i said as i squeezed her hand

she smiled and turned her head to face the window to hide how wide her smile really was

i parked the car at the training centre and turned off the ignition

"are you sure you're ready my love?" i asked her softly

"i've never been more ready" she replied, still smiling

"i love you darling" i said

"i love you too" she replied as she placed a kiss into my lips

we both got out of the car and i grabbed both of our bags because i refuse to let leah carry her own

for the first time ever, leah clung onto my hand and we walked into the centre with our fingers intertwined

she stopped at the door to the changing rooms

"you ready" she asked softly as she put pressure on my hand

i nodded my head and she opened the door to lead us both in

"there's my superstar" katie said as she wrapped her arms around me

i kept my hand locked with leah's and placed my other hand around katie

leah cleared her throat before speaking. i could tell she was nervous, not about the news but about how the girls may react

"i just wanted to let you guys know that alex and i are together. we've liked each other for a while and she asked me out last night. i hope you all can be happy for us because she makes me very happy" she explained confidently

the girls remained silent until they started cheering, they were all so happy for us

"about time" viv said as she turned to me "you did good mate, i'm proud of you. looks like we can go on double dates now" she placed a hand on my shoulder

"thanks viv that really means a lot, and yes the double dates are most definitely going to become a thing" i said whilst giggling

one by one the girls congratulated us

a few of the girls including beth, alessia and lotte pulled leah away from me which in turn released our hands

viv and katie remained close to me

"didn't think you had it in you beck" katie said sarcastically "on a real note though, if you ever hurt her, i will come for you"

i nodded my head and i told them how i asked her out

"setting the standards high, i like it" viv said "beth's lucky if i make her a cup of tea let alone all of that" she chuckled

i looked over to leah to check if she was okay. she had a massive smile on her face and she was showing the girls around her the ring i bought her and telling them the details of our date last night
