Husk POV.

As we were walking down the street, my hand still wrapped around her waist, keeping her close, I kept looking over to her direction. Trying to steal a glance from her so I can see her smile softly, like she always does.

Suddenly I felt a drop of water land on the tip of my nose, I looked up at the sky and then the girl next to me. She reached her hand out and a couple water drops landed on it, it was starting to rain. I lifted my wing and let it cover her, so she could stay dry under it, even though I hated getting wet.

"Thank you, Husky." She giggled, her eyes wandering across the patterns on my wings. They weren't something I was happy about, since they made me stick out, but watching her view the patterns on them made me happy.

We kept walking and the rain was getting more aggressive. Growing uncomfortable by the increasing moisture I looked over to [Y.N] to see that some droplets were getting to her despite the shelter my wings provided. Her eyes locked with mine and she suddenly grabbed my hand, starting to run down the street.

I followed close after her, getting a small heart attack each time she would stumble or nearly run into something. She chuckled while running which put a smile on my face and soon I also joined her, laughing like two idiots trying to escape from the rain. After a bit, her run slowed to a jog, almost a walk, and I heard her take deep breaths of exhaustion. As I caught up to her, still running, I swooped her off the ground and held her in my arms.

The bottle of cheap booze I held in my hand fell to the pavement with a sound of breaking glass, but all I cared about at the moment, was getting this girl home. And so I did, hearing her giggle all the way we finally reached the entrance of the hotel. I put her down on her feet and suddenly felt a wave of weariness wash over me, I was never the athletic type.

"Holy shit, I didn't know it could rain in Hell!" The girl laughed and I laughed with her, I put my hands on my knees to support myself as I tried to catch my breath.

Her laugh died down to a chuckle as I rose from my hunched over position and looked at her direction. She was already looking at me and we made eye contact, the lights from the marquee complimenting the features in her face. The pitter-patter of the rain seemed to be the only thing I heard as I admired her, my gaze dropping from her eyes to her lips.

The world seemed to fade away, leaving only the delicate symphony of raindrops in the background and us, just the two of us. A surge of courage coursed through me, fueled by the longing that had lingered for far too long.

In that suspended moment, I closed the distance between us, drawn irresistibly to her. The sound of the rain failing to drown out the sounds of my beating heart. Standing just a few inches away from her, I watched her eyes dart between my eyes and my lips. The moment felt right and without a word, our lips met in a passionate kiss.

The taste of rain and red wine lingered on her lips, blending with the sweetness of the moment. It felt as though time stopped as the moment I've been waiting for so long was finally playing out in front of me. I cupped her cheeks with my hands to deepen the kiss and I felt her hands wrap behind my neck. My wings instinctively wrapped around her, pulling her closer to my body.

As we slowly pulled away from the kiss, the world around us gradually resurfaced. Yet, the intensity of our connection lingered in the air. We remained locked in a warm embrace, breathing in the shared moment that had unfolded, looking into each others eyes.

Our hot breaths mixed in the air as we stayed in silence, trying to read each other's emotions. The extremely short distance between us and the sight of her slightly parted lips left me craving more. The air crackled with anticipation as I was drawn back into her orbit. Our lips met again in a series of hungry, drunken kisses, each one more rushed and demanding than the last.

My hand traced her face, and her fingers entangled in the fur on my head, my other hand held her waist. The world outside our embrace blurred, and desire pulsed through every kiss. Gradually, my attention shifted from her lips and cheeks to her neck, my rough kisses causing her to breathing to quicken. My fingers found their way under her shirt and my heartbeat was the only thing I could hear in the moment.

Interrupting the escalating passion, I felt her hands on my shoulders, pushing me away slightly, "Maybe we should go inside." She suggested, her voice a mix of breathless desire and laughter.

I nodded and forced myself off of her, watching her every move as she awkwardly opened the door to the hotel. I followed her inside and up the stairs, where soon I heard her fiddle with her key chain, trying to open the door to her room. She walked inside and after following her in, I closed the door, locking it behind us.

The air inside the room was charged with a mix of anticipation and desire. I couldn't help but be extremely aware of every nuance in her movements as she turned around to face me. Our eyes met, and the magnetic pull that had drawn us together earlier in the rain seemed to intensify within the walls of the hotel room.

Without a word, our lips sought each other again, the kiss more confident than the last. She walked backwards and I moved with her, until she hit the edge of her bed, causing her to fall backwards onto it. My arms were on both sides of her, giving me support while I leaned down to be as close to her as I possibly could again.

Pausing for a moment, I looked into her eyes, my hand gently cradling her face. Breaking the silence, I asked with a whisper, "Are you sure about this?" The question hung in the air, a moment that filled me with doubt. Her response, a subtle nod and a small smile, conveyed an unspoken agreement.

I couldn't help but smile and as I leaned down to kiss her, I felt nothing but bliss.
