The classroom is dimly lit as the only source of light is form a single window on the furthest wall. Candle wicks stand slumped in brackets on the celling. Books on shelves line three of the four walls; the fourth has banners and photos of beasts.

"What are you doing here, Tom?" My brother askes, a look of annoyance on his face.

"Well, brother, I have been admitted to Hogwarts, funnily. And have the right to venture the grounds." I reply, meeting my brothers hate filled eyes.

"What are you really doing here, Tom?"

"I told you, Mattheo."

Mattheo sighs, walks towards the wall enclosing the window then turns back to face me. "What has father sent you to do?"

"He has set me no task."

"Come on, Tom. You and I both know that is a lie."

I stand there for a minute, eye to eye with my brother. Sighing, I advance towards the door.

"Don't you dare turn your back on my Tom!" Mattheo yells across the room, outraged.

Despite his arguments I turn the handle on the door andbefore I leave, I tell my brother, "You had better go join your friends,Mattheo. Sand stay out of famine and fathers business."
