Chap_5. A Chance

Arnav's P.O.V.

Seeing Khushi on the road, I got confused and looked around the road. I didn't notice her coming.

I found myself uttering to myself,
"Does she live here anywhere near!" and got thinking.

After few minutes Akash got out of the washroom and got ready in a hurry.

Taking Akash with me, I got downstairs. Uncle and Aunt were in the living room. Seeing us, Uncle got uttering, "When will you grow up Akash? Why Arnav always has to get you for your important things!"

Akash spoke up, "We are getting late, Dad." and forwarded to leave. Finding nothing to do, I also took leave from them and left the house.

Arriving at the college, we found Mack and Rivan waiting for us at the entrance. Seeing us, they got near as Rivan got uttering, "You really brought Akash on time, haan? We thought this sleepy head will never get here on time as you said. But you did it. Great Job, buddy."

Arnav uttered being full of himself, "It's me guys. I don't go back on my words."

Mack gave me a sarcastic smile which was enough for me to get which was he referring and I uttered again, "This includes your dare too. Don't worry."

I didn't know why but I felt like Akash got all startled at my word. But before I could ask him anything, Mack got uttering, "Will see. Now let's go. We will be late otherwise."

Akash spoke up giving me a weird look, "Are you going to join us too? Didn't you say your project thesis work is finished already!"

I got uttering "Yes but I will join you. Any problem?" only to find him silent.

We forwarded towards the classroom and after attending two classes, I spoke up, "You guys continue. I will be in the library."

All of my friends let out a sigh and without bothering that, I forwarded towards the library.

After spending few hours in library with a book, I closed that and got thinking of that girl.

How will I get to reach her when I don't even know her name!

I left the library and forwarded with a thought of going to the canteen as Mack messaged me to get there.

Then I found Rick, he is known to be a playboy in worse sense in the college. When I found him busy with his filthy act with a girl again, I couldn't help getting there.

My father was the trustee of the college and I didn't want to get it's name tarnished for Rick's filthy acts.

To my utter surprise, it was the very same girl who I was looking for. She was literally trembling and her eyes were closed.

As I got warning, Rick and his boys immediately left from there.

I was the boxing champion of the college and after getting punched by me as they once got messing with my friends, Rick was afraid of me.

Getting near, I saw a tear escaping from her right eye and found myself got uttering softly to her, "Hey, it's okay. They left." which even surprised me.

She opened her eyes which was all teary. I forwarded my handkerchief towards her. She kept staring at it for some moments and then took it with her trembling hand.

She didn't even utter anything and started taking steps towards where I didn't know.

I ended up following her and when I got she was waiting for a taxi, I offered her to drop her home.

But to my utter surprise, she refused. I mean refused me. Like seriously!

My mind chided, "Let's get it slow. Start from introduction."
