Chapter 22: The Man Behind the Camera

CLEO'S POV

"You look hot and gorgeous as usual, Saskia" Paxton praised me

I smiled at him through the mirror. Trying my best to hide all the pain in my smile.

He's making his move on me. And I didn't know what should I do. Part of me said that I should use him.

Pero alam ko na mali iyon. Ganoon ang ginawa sa akin ni Matthew. Ginamit niya ako, hoping that he could love me instead of Maine. I am so much aware that he's in love with another woman. I fooled myself that I am staying with him because I am getting something from him. Niloko ko ang sarili ko na tulad niya sa paggamit sa akin at sa katawan ko, ginagamit ko lamang din siya para sa career ko. Pinaniwala ko ang sarili ko na kaya ako nanatili sa kanya ay dahil nakikinabang ako, na para sa sarili ko iyon.

Alam ko ang pakiramdam ng ginagamit, kaya ayoko na gawin iyon sa iba. Paxton is nothing but a good friend. But that's his role in my life, a good friend.

"What are you doing here, Pax?" I asked him in a cheerful way.

He sit beside me and play with some strands of my hair. Nakakailang pero hinayaan ko na lamang siya. As much as possible, ayoko na lagyan ng malisya ang mga ginagawa niya.

"Napadaan lang. May shooting ako sa malapit lang. Sayang nga at hindi na ikaw ang partner ko" he smiled at me.

I smiled at him. "Kath is a pretty woman. I'm sure mas bebenta kayo"

Ngumiti na lamang din siya.

We talk about few things while waiting for the photographer to call me. Most of our topics are about the drama we made.

"Bad breath ba ako?" tanong niya sa akin

Natawa naman ako. "Hindi"

"Bakit ayaw mo makipag-kissing scene sa akin? Saka bakit bigla kang umalis?" tanong niya. Nakikita ko ang hinanakit sa mga mata niya.

Matthew bought me out of the drama that we're doing. And Kath is my replacement.

"I just had more important things to attend to that time" sagot ko.

Matthew is always my used to be priority.

Hindi na siya umimik pa. Nagpaalam na din siya na aalis na dahil may taping pa.

"Miss Saskia, it's your time to shine!" malaki ang pagkakangiti na sabi sa akin ng bading na coordinator.

I smiled at him and stood up. I secured my robe before walking on the studio.

"You're so pretty talaga, girl" puri sa akin ni Gigi
