DIVINE'S POV

I was pacing around in my room like a fox finding food. I don't understand, and I still don't until this day.

The black door I found many many months ago with some random screams that I heard, the usual attacks of my family's enemies at our mansion, and the guns that I just saw earlier from my own relatives and families that were pointing towards each other?!

And lastly.. this whole freaking wide and large mansion with a lot of cars and guards everywhere!!

To be honest when I first came
here—which I haven't mentioned, I thought my dad was the leader, a famous CEO of some kind of thingy.

I felt my breath shortened from the confusion, frustration and mostly panic that was causing my mind to deteriorate like a person who just saw some random craziness in their life.

I was still speechless and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I tried to re-connect the dots but my brain wasn't braining today from the sudden... weird situations I've encountered this year.

I'm now even more concerned than how my life was with my master and my so-called past mom. I can't believe I've forgotten about them and as the nightmares were not so frequent anymore.

But it's possible that it may come back due to how I am living with a family that just makes the life even more concerning than it already was before.

I am not complaining about how they took care of me and protected me from the harm, but I do am filing a complain in my thoughts about on how the cupcake cookies did a gun appeared from their pockets? Pockets are usually small and a size of a gun is kind of big.

Why am I even thinking about these? Should I forget about everything that happened? I want to but I absolutely CANNOT. I've known too well that I'll have to keep myself aware of my surroundings.

Should I trust my family enough or should I take my time to take things slower?

They'll all be suspicious to me and will eventually find out that I found what they keep from me for a short time.

This time, it'll be a lot riskier now that I found out about the situation that lies beneath their masks. Well, that was a bit formal.

"Hey sweet darling," I slowly pulled down the recent newspaper I found at the mailbox from earlier. I don't even know why I have this. Probably just to cover up my nervous expression from everyone.

Enzo raised an eyebrow to me with a smirk before checking the newspaper and looking up at me again, "I didn't know you'd be interested with that. That's father's newspaper for today. He gets daily reports about some outgoing events happening outside."

"Interesting," I nodded my head, listening to his explanations. He was just looking at me and I was looking at him. Awkwardly.

Enzo cleared his throat with a single cough before patting my head gently and standing up. "Dinner will be ready soon. Do you want to come early to the dining room?" He held out his hand before I grabbed it with my other.

"Sure!" I smiled before he drags me to an another room where we will eat, obviously, heh, hah.

My older brother opened the large, double exterior doors revealing the neat dining table I would usually see, but with our dinner foods this time.

I could already smell the aroma of our current meals and I could tell that miss Eleanor was one of the best chefs that cooked these amazing foods!

I haven't talked to her for a while, and because she is always busy whenever I go home from school. But I do sometimes see her whenever I go at the kitchen.

I sat to one of the chairs beside my older brother and as usual, my legs were floating at the air which is quite funny.

"This is delicious," I grinned widely, looking at the food at the distance in front of me. "Yummy in my tummy," I heard laughing from Enzo and I only smiled widely.

"It sure it is."

Later on, he called the others and mom and dad entered with our other siblings, uncles and our cousins.

I saw my cousin Antonio limping just a bit and some bandages were wrapped around his lower chest. They all froze at their places when their gazes turned towards me, including Antonio who was all pale.

"Ahh.. Ahah! My sweetie!" I could tell his laugh had a hint of a nervous tone and only sat at the opposite side of the table.

I was observing them sit quietly at their desired seats before we all had our prayers and started eating. Honestly, the air wasn't that quite abnormal and everybody was talking like some very normal persons living with a great life.

And unfortunately, my family was the opposite of that. Maybe.. maybe just a little bit too much.

They might be wondering why I haven't asked about Antonio's wrapped bandages. Probably assuming that I already saw what happened.

I slowly gulped my food down before wiping my lips with the tissue beside my plate. "Why are there bandages wrapped around your body, Antonio?"

The talking quickly died down and all of them snapped their heads towards me. That's kind of creepy, to be honest.

"W-Well.."

Alejandro was the one to speak next, "Oh baby, he was just.. he fell down the stairs."

Was that a good reason? Yeah, kind of. It was. But that means he would break a bone. Many bones.

I blinked three times before slowly frowning with the corner of my lips down. "What?"

Mom and dad sighed. "Don't worry about your cousin too much. He's doing fine, okay?" Mom reassures me with a genuine smile and I only nodded my head.

Everybody sighed in relief and I couldn't give a context about that.

We all kept eating peacefully but I was the only one quiet, but my older brothers and cousins kept asking me about my day. I couldn't just stay silent for the whole thirty minutes.

I wonder what would happen if I tell them what I had witnessed? What would be their reaction?

I'm not gonna risk it.
