DIVINE'S POV

It's not that I am uninterested in the celebration.. but the fact that I had a bad feeling down to my gut is concerning.

The feeling of uneasiness only increased when we entered the massive entrance of the majestic banquet hall. Not only the bright lights illuminated through the corners of the wall but the shimmering chandeliers and lavishly designed decorations stood out as if to welcome our close guests and relatives into a room of enchantment.

But watching those decorations seemed useless because of the already swarming bees of guests and our relatives. Some that I don't know of are just there, sitting at what those chairs looked like- luxurious, glamorous. The white-painted on what looked like pillows or cushions add the soft effect.

I'd be already sleeping if I sat at a chair with a cushion. Not gonna lie, I love sleeping. That's the fact.

"Yikes!" A familiar voice shouted close from behind, also following another one. "What the hell?? You're such a mid. Dropping an ice-cream these days."

"You on drugs or something? It's normal for anyone to do that. And stop using that slang. You've been using it for a hundred times now!"

"I told ya, we shouldn't have introduced him to the recent generation."

I turned around, seeing Antonio and Alejandro with Marcus. Sebastian is not found anywhere so maybe they seperated.

Shaking my head, I went back to reality and was shocked to see Antonio and Alejandro running towards me like sonic. What the?!

They both pushed each other before Tony carried me to his shoulder as if I was a sack of rice being delivered. "Tony!" He only laughed before putting me down. He gave me a peck of kiss at my forehead and I shook my head.

"Stop! You almost dropped me!" I complained but he was literally laughing. Alejandro slapped the back of his head but he didn't react.

Jan-Jan(Alejandro) sighed deeply. "Just ignore him. He's a crazy person sometimes- Ow! What the fu.."

Tony hissed at him before smiling widely at me. "How is life going ¿cariño?"
( Sweetheart )

My shoulders moved and I smiled. "Complicated, stressful, painful and other things that are related to the word 'dying'." I exclaimed like a feeling of experiencing torment was a common thing.

It took me three days to unwrap the gifts that my partner gave me, the same goes to hers that I gave. Just some perks for being the daughter of a family that keeps their secrets from me.

It was also fun sharing memories with my family for the first time at my least favorite holiday, Christmas. From all of the misery that life brought me to Christmas for the whole ten years, this is my first time that I had actually enjoyed this holiday.

Maybe it's not that bad. Maybe someday, I'll also improve. Not unless if I get kidnapped again.

I hope I did not jinx that.

My two older cousins stared at me with wide eyes before laughing nervously. "You're just like your brother Enzo." Tony mumbled.

"Of course stupid, they're literally like each other. What do you expect?!" Jan-Jan yelled, spitting out his saliva then Tony slapping him back. "YOUR F-----G SALIVA!"

"¡¡MALDITA MIERDA! ¡NO ME ESTOY FOLLANDO UNA MALDITA SALIVA!"

( I'm scared to translate this again )

I felt my ears ringing and my eyes twitching from their loud voices. I hate this life.
