Chapter 15: Engagement Dress

The last two days have been life-changing days for me. But I don't want to change anything about it. I am happy after so many years not because I am getting married but because I am getting married to someone who is ready to be with me willingly.

Yesterday when Veer said I am not going to be his Queen but I am his Queen I felt like I was the luckiest person in the world. It showed how much he already cares about me.

One part of me is so happy to be his but the other is scared as well. What will happen when he will know about me and him? Will he be able to accept me after knowing how he has broken me?

Will he be able to accept me with the scars I have on my body and soul?

Yesterday he left without saying bye to me. I felt bad about it but didn't say much as I didn't want to look like a clingy girl to him. It's only been 2 days since I have been with him and I already feel more safe with him than any other person.

The ping on my phone broke me from my thoughts and when I noticed whose message was it I instantly got a smile on my face.

Veer: Are you free tomorrow??
Me: For what?

Veer: I'll pick you up for the ring selection!
Me: I'll give you my size. You choose it.

Veer: You will be wearing it for a lifetime so it should be to your liking.
Me: Then surprise me. I trust you. You will choose the best one.

There has been no reply to my text for a few minutes now. Maybe he didn't like my idea or he got busy. I don't know. I was about to keep my phone on the side when it pinged again.

Veer: Deal! You should for me as well.
Me: done!

I replied with a smile to him.

Veer: I'll not be able to meet you in the upcoming days. As I have to tie up the work for a week now. After the engagement, we had to leave for our friend's wedding as well. So if you need something call or text me. Okay?

ME: It's ok! I understand. I am also going to be busy as I am going to help Vanya with the last-minute preparation and have to do shopping for myself as well.

Veer: Don't overstreet yourself and contact me if you need me.
Me: Will do!

After my last text, there was no reply from him so I kept my phone side. The whole day I stayed in my room and read books.

Bhai and KP were busy with engagement preparations which were not meant to be a surprise for me according to Siddharth.

After dinner, I came into my room got into more comfortable clothes and sat on my bed. I was debating on what to do as sleep was far from my eyes when my phone rang.

Now who is calling me at 10 PM? No one calls me this late.

After looking at the caller ID I picked up the phone.

"Yes V," I asked Vanya

"Let's go for your engagement dress shopping tomorrow and we will buy you some dresses for my wedding as well"

" I already have some dresses I'll choose from them for engagement"

" You can't wear your old dress in your engagement Pri. It's a one-time event"

" But I don't want to go"

" Shut up and be ready at 10 Am. Ok? I'll pick you up"
She ordered me and before I could reply she disconnected the call.
