The next morning at 7am, Stonepaw took his sons Badge and Rocky out into the forest to go hunting.
They caught a few moles, mice, and marmots and were gonna go back home, when a skunk came walking over in their direction.
He was poking his nose under the leaves and was eating the bugs under them. The badgers backed up and werre walking away from the skunk when he grabbed one of Badge's moles.
Badge grabbed the other end, trying to pull it away from the skunk. Stonepaw gave Badge a firm but gentle nudge.
He wanted him to let the skunk have it instead so he wouldn't get sprayed by him.
The skunk stopped pulling on the mole as he walked away, happy that he had a mole instead of bugs to eat that morning.
Badge was a little upset that his father made him give up his mole to the skunk, but it was much better than getting sprayed by him.
