I wake up with the light streaming in through the broken windows.
My body shivers unexpectedly and I turn to my side.
I open my eyes lightly.
I see another body.
Shocked, I lay still staring.
What happened?
The person opened his eyes.
"Hey Olive." He whispered softly.
"Hi." I reply.
I barely know this kid. It's been 4 weeks since I first met him. We barely talked. And this is what it led to.
"I love you," He says straightening up and coming forward to me to kiss me on the lips. And more and more. I had no choice but to just kiss back.
And I've never been kissed like that before.
He backed away and I sighed.
"I love you too." I say.

Cooper and I walked hand and hand out of the teen room.
"So you guys obviously had fun last night." Kiki commented.
"Shove it, Kiki." Cooper said.
I grabbed his arm closer to me.
I don't know who I was.
"Anyway, I went out this morning and I saw a TV." Kiki hissed. "The police is saying that you disappeared after the fire."
"Good." I say. "Now we can go out more often."
"That's what you don't get, Olive." Kiki said in an annoying tone. "We barely go out, at all. Just 'cause you got lucky with Cooper last night doesn't mean you can live the life you used to have, Olive."
Reality check.

Cooper and I decided to go to Central Park and play the guitar while I sing.
I've always been a good singer.
A good 5 years of singing lessons from my dad.
My dad.
"So, what was Kiki talking about before?" Cooper asked.
"Don't worry about it." I say as Cooper glanced at me.
Once we got to Central Park we started playing.
One man threw a bottle at us and swore.
Twilight fell on the streets full of lights and life.
