ADELINA'S POV
i ended up unpacking quickly which made me feel kind of proud.

with a ton of free time, i facetimed joão since i had already missed him. he answered almost instantly. "hi!" i said as he waved.

he wasn't showing his face which made me sad. "show me your face." i spoke again. "i don't have a shirt on, hold up." he said back as he put his phone down.

a few seconds later, he picked up his phone and i finally saw him. "how are you? did you finish unpacking?" i asked.

"well, yes but i'm packing for qatar now." he chuckled. oh my god, i'm so stupid.

"oh my god, i have to pack for that too." i chuckled back, covering my face. "stupid." he commented causing me to gasp dramatically.

"wowww, okay i'm hanging up." i rolled my eyes. "no no, i'm sorry! bab—" i hung up in his face.

i turned off my phone and went upstairs to go pack for qatar. i got a message from joão, "meanie."

i giggled at the message from turning off my phone and throwing it on my bed. i ended up packing for a month, it depends on how well his team does but i know he'll do good so.

i didn't know how long i was packing for until i checked my phone and noticed it was five o'clock. the hell???

i got a message from joão, once again.

i groaned before throwing my phone onto my bed again. so unfair! i haven't even had lunch or took a nap. asshole, asshole, asshole.

i wore a random jersey i found in my closet, some shorts and my sneakers. i put my hair into a high ponytail and took a water bottle with me.

i waited outside, a few minutes later his car came into the driveway. i ran over and got into his car before buckling my seatbelt.

"you look ready." he said, looking me up and down. "shut up, asshole." i talked back, looking out the window.

"call me asshole again." he said, with a smirk. i turned my head to look at him with widened eyes.

"YOU PERVERT!" i shouted, hitting him repeatedly. "oh my god! stop, i'm driving." he said in between laughs.

i stopped for the sake of my life, glaring at him with crossed arms. "i'm sorry. did you not eat anything?" he asked.

"no. when i win, take me out for dinner." i said, coldly. he raised his eyebrows, surprised by my confidence. "guess you won't be eating dinner tonight." he mumbled loud enough for me to hear. i decided to shut up and continue looking out the window.

i quickly unbuckled my seat when we made it to his practice place. he turned my head around, leaning into kiss me. i leaned back, shaking my head. "no, we are enemies today."

"didn't we become girlfriend and boyfriend today?" he asked. "don't say that again. you're the one who decided today is our match day." i said, getting off the car.

he rolled his eyes before following me. i was taking this seriously, no way am i losing after all that confidence. i might cry if i do lose. but i won't.
