"If you dare stray! I'm dead." Rasmus said playfully as he began to roll down the window of the car.

"Do you want me to!" Cullen laughs and has to slow just a bit so Rasmus can climb to the roof.

Once he made it up, he tied his left foot with a necktie and used a military knife he found in the compartment to plunge the remaining tie to the roof of the car.

Once Rasmus secured himself. He tapped the roof, signaling Cullen to speed up. And he did.

Unbeknownst to the assassins chasing the other three. Someone else is following them from behind.

Rasmus knows that once he makes the first shot, it will give their presence away. So he needs to make only one shot that will bring them all down.

He tried to focus despite the aggressive movement of the car. It was pretty dark too so it was harder than he expected. But after too much focus, he was able to spot a chance and immediately fired the gun.

It made a loud bang and soon, the first car that was chasing their friends halted after the driver was shot on the head. And because of it, the rest of the cars behind bumped and caused an explosion.

Cullen was quick to avoid it and was able to drive behind Ross and the other two. They stopped a few miles from the explosion.

Rasmus and Cullen quickly hopped off the car and ran to the other three. When they got to them…

"Holy sh*t!!! Are you okay?!" Cullen yells after seeing Ross pressing on Steel's left chest. Blood was covering them both and the younger was choking on his own blood.

Rasmus froze and somehow his mind went blank.

He knew the danger of the plan but he still went through it… 

And now his best friend is badly hurt.

"I'm okay. See?" Steel managed to speak and showed them the bullet that is also covered in blood.

"This prick pulled the dam* bullet out!" Ross growled and continued to press on the wound. Making the younger wince.

"L-let's go back to the house first. There's first aid there. Then we can bring him up to the attic where it's safer." Cayden said as he started the engine.

"You guys can go. I'll stay outside so none of these men will go back in the house." Rasmus said and made his way back to the other car. 

But Cullen suddenly grabbed his wrist.

"Let me come with you. You don't have a better driver than me." He said with full confidence.

"No! Jamie will not open the door for them if she doesn't hear you." The younger immediately refused.

"Wrong. She won't open the door without our code." He said and briefly looked at the car window. "Just say Five Feet Apart! That's her favorite movie." He said to his brother who looked a bit confused.

He stepped back and tapped the car. Beckoning them to leave. Cayden didn't have the time to argue. Especially with a wounded person in the car. He drove right away back to the house and left the other two in the forest not far from the explosion.

"This time… You are in my country… I may not be a prince like you but this is my family's property and you are under our protection. Which makes it that your safety will be my sole priority." Cullen stated in a serious manner as he looked at the younger's expression.

He looks a tad bit flustered but mostly because of seeing Steel wounded. And after hearing Cullen, he nodded his head in understanding and the two finally entered their car.
