the two eventually kicked it off & for a while magic forgot about her brother's plan to set him up, she was so distracted by ethan that she forgot that he wasn't even supposed to be alone with her, it could backfire at any minute.
after their little meeting in harlem that week, they kept in touch like really in touch, he'd let the girl call him by his real name & he rarely let anyone do that, she'd even sneak him over without getting caught or that's what she thought....
what she didn't know was her brother did find out, the reason he found out was when he spotted a "ski mask." on magic's dresser which didn't belong to her nor him but to notti.

"ouu so..." magic spoke looking up at at notti as he looked at her, "so what?" he asked smacking on his gum, "i forgot man, you just icked the fuck outa me ethan!" she laughed as he scrunched up his face. "why you calling me ethan in public?" he asked.
"oh sorry ethannnnn!" she spoke running skating away, "bring ya ass here magic marie!" he shouted skating behind her, as she continued laughing & skating she felt a tug on her jumpsuit making her yelp falling down.
"notti dude what the fuck!" she laughed as he fell also. (she's laying on him now.) "you play to damn much." ethan chuckled as she smiled, "worked ya ass huh." she spoke as he nodded. "yup yup." he laughed pulling her chin up.
"pretty girl," he whispered smiling, "pretty boy." she replied kissing him. "no making out in the rink!" the owner shouted making them pull away laughing.
"man come on, i'm tired and hungry tryna hit da deli, before going home?" he asked helping magic up as she nodded, something they would regret.... "good cause i'm mad hungry." she chuckled.

"brooo i can't wait to get a car! my feet hurt badly." magic scoffed, her & notti were now walking hand in hand to the deli. everything was going good, until magic spotted a black bmw tailing them both, notti noticed too, but didn't think anything of it that was until multiple shots were fired.
"fuck, magic come on!" notti yelled, in a flight instinct, notti & magic gripped both each other's hands tighter & began running faster to the deli, due to the car speeding up both notti & magic got hit multiple times before either one could even react.
"oh shit, mag— magic." notti called out, blood spilling in the process, "n—oh fuck." she cried holding her stomach, "notti i'm sorry—." she mumbled, as he tried going towards her but stopped mid way, "magic i l—," he spoke before stopping mid sentence.
"love you." she whispered before shutting her eyes.
