A Bad Reaction

A quiet sigh escaped your lips as you anxiously shifted your weight between your feet. You had been summoned to the Hokage's office about 30 minutes ago and had been waiting to speak with the man ever since.

'Man...I hate waiting...' You sighed once more as you tried to push the ever growing anxiety from your mind. The longer you waited the more your mind began to wander. Why where you here? Were you in trouble? Did something happ-

"Ah my apologies for the wait (YN)."

A familiar voice spoke, breaking you from your spiraling thoughts.

"I have summoned you here along with Sumire, Kakashi and your uncle Gyo to discuss the matter of your necklace and it's power over you." The Hokage continued, seeming to have appeared behind his desk as if from nothing.

'He must of used a Justu.' you concluded as Sumire-sensei, Kakashi and your uncle appeared bedside you in a cloud of smoke.

"Ah now that everyone is here, I would like to talk about (YN)'s necklace and it's control over her...this is something I was waiting to discuss until after the chunin exams but due to recent events I feel it is pertinent we have this discussion now...so far we know that if someone else wear's (YN)'s necklace then they have total control over her movements and chakra. We also know that you have tried destroying your necklace...correct?" The Hokage began turning to you for confirmation.

Nodding you spoke up.

"I have tried breaking it with and without the use of chakra along with attempting to burn it...nothing worked."

You frowned, gently pulling your necklace out of your shirt and looking at it somberly.

"It wasn't even remotely damaged...I even thought about hiding it away somewhere but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a safe enough place for it or that I would run the risk of somebody else finding it."

Nodding at your words, the Hokage opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a rather large scroll.

"As previously discussed—choosing not to hide it was wise...if somebody else somehow found it and gained control over you the results could be catastrophic."

"I apologize in advance for this (YN), but Lord Third...as capable of a ninja (YN) is becoming she certainly has a ways to go until she could really cause catastrophic damage...I mean yes she has a lot of potential but I don't really see somebody being able to cause a whole lot of damage with her if somebody were to get a hold of her necklace as of right now." Sumire-sensei said, seeming to choose each of her words carefully.

"Ghesh sensei...that was kinda mean..." You mumbled crossing your arms with a frown.

"Actually, if I may." Your uncle spoke up, glancing towards the Hokage as if asking permission to speak in his stead. Nodding the Hokage gestured for him to continue.

"Our clan has always been fire users but our fire style is unlike any other. As you know, we control and manipulate the strongest and hottest of all fire—Blue fire. This ability was granted to the founder of the Fenikkusu clan and her family. Her name was Aki Adachi who later became known as Aki Fenikkusu. Aki was a very powerful ninja and during her lifetime she made a pact with the last 7 firebirds in existence. This pact was to hide and protect the last of these Firebirds in exchange for their power. The Firebirds only wanted a way to survive and to no longer be killed for their gifts. They found their safety and powers to best be protected by living inside of a human. The firebirds learned that if they lived inside of a mortal vessel they couldn't be killed as long as their vessel's bloodline continued...but in order to ensure their survival the firebirds granted Aki and her bloodline a number of their powers. This in turn would ensure that the vessels for each of the seven firebirds would be powerful enough to safeguard the creatures survival. The result of this was the creation of the Fenikkusu clan's kekkei genkai— smoke release and the ability to use the blue fire of the firebirds. All members of the bloodline were granted the ability to use these flames but only those who housed a firebird inside of their body could use smoke release along with a special ability known as rebirth." Your uncle calmly explained.
