Summer holidays were nearly over and to say I was really excited for college would be an understatement, but at the same time, I just wanna stay at home, happiness surrounds me when I'm here, I get to see everyone and on top of that everyone makes sure that I take my pills for my own health
I haven't seen Ares in a total of 4 days and I kind of missed him, even though he barely speaks to me the sleepover really made my day
Or should I say, night
Picking up my phone I called Lilah
"Hello?" She spoke loudly
"Hi Lilah" I smiled into the phone "You seem really out of breath, you okay?"
"I'm at the airport" She grunted "Just moving my bags"
"You didn't tell any of us" I was shocked and I couldn't help but feel sad
"I didn't think any of you would care" Her voice was soft as I heard a small thud
"When does your plane leave?" I questioned as I slid my shoes on
"An hour or 2, I don't know I just came here"
"I'm gonna come over okay?"
"Mama, I'm going to the airport for Lilah" I shouted as I stumbled downstairs
Her response was faint, to the point I didn't understand but I took that as an okay
"Do you know where the airport is?" She asked after a while
"I'm walking" I slid my jumper up my shoulder as I started to skip, more like sprint like a maniac
"Walking?" She exclaimed "Are you stupid?"
"What?" I questioned cluelessly
"You can't walk to the airport"
"Why?"
"There's a highway you have to go past"
"I think I'm at it now"
I watched as all the cars whooshed past in a speed, looking left and right, I still couldn't find any pathways for us humans
"Natalie stay there, I'll call you in a second. Stay"
My phone beeped twice and I took one step forward, then 2 back
Standing there cluelessly I decided to walk forwards
I can at least say that I've tried if something happens to me
A beep stopped me making me stumble back
"Natalie" His voice roared causing me to stare into the car with big eyes
"Oh" I paused "Jason big bro bro" I smiled as I waved at him
"Are you stupid?" He walked out and dragged me into the car
"What happened?"
"You clueless little child, going to get yourself killed for fucks sake" He muttered angrily under his breath
"What did I do" I leaned my head against the window
"Are you not okay in the head?" I stared at him confused "You could've gotten yourself killed if you went there, people are ruthless, they wouldn't care"
I looked away and then back at him
"Maybe that's what I want" I spoke out quite loudly but the crack in my voice was louder
"What did you say?" Jason spoke up as he switched off his car
"Jason we're in the middle of the road, park the car or go"
"So when you were in the middle of the road do you think anyone cared?" He asked as he folded his arms
"I don't care if they care about me" I cried out "It doesn't make any difference" Despite trying to stay strong I felt my insides disintegrate
"Natalie"
My head snapped to the back seat and what I saw made me want to cry even more
Jace, Ares and Stephanie all sat there
Silently
"I don't wanna be here" I shook my head frantically as I tried opening the door
"Natalie breathe" Jason warned
"No, no, no" I felt my breathing go haywire as I fumbled with the door handle
"Let me out" I shouted as tears finally let themselves free
With a click I felt the fresh air engulf me whole and what did I decide to do?
