"Hi ma" I brought her into a small hug
I already knew what was going to happen, and to be completely honest I was scared, really scared, talking to pa is bad but talking to ma is even worse, and knowing the situation, I'd be talking to both of them
"Come into the office" She held onto my hand gently as she walked me there
"No hello?" I questioned softly trying to stall
"Hello" Her voice was soothing
"Hi ma" I repeated
Now in the office, as expected I saw pa sitting there
Sitting in the chair opposite him I gulped
"Hi baby" He grinned "Come give me a hug" I stood up slowly and gave him a small hug
"We're gonna talk about what happened yesterday, okay?" He spoke slowly as I sat back down
Nodding slowly I allowed him to continue
"You're very oblivious" He started off causing me to gasp
"No I'm not" I laughed in shock
But, in all honesty, I knew I was oblivious
"Let me finish"
"Sorry" I muttered quietly
"You're very oblivious" He repeated "But I know that you're a very smart girl, okay?" He questioned
"Yes" I nodded quickly
"I need you to understand that Steph was a dick" I gave him a small nod in response, being mindful not to interrupt him
"You deserve better and I know that you'll find better, but you have to promise me something" He paused for a second before continuing "Promise not to let another guy manipulate you, and you see the way he hit you? You don't ever let a man hit you for his own reasons"
"You need to understand that, that's fucked up, arguments are okay, play fighting, knowing you lot, is okay as-well, but hitting, slapping, punching, is not tolerated, and you need to tell me if it happens again"
He held out his pinky finger "You promise me"
I felt my eyes water as I held mine out
Linking our fingers together we both kissed each-others fingers
"Good" He spoke out
"Now your mum would like to talk to you, so lets do a little switch a roo"
Now its time for mama's talk
