The frantic knocking woke me from my fitful slumber.

"Cleo? Are you in there?"

My boyfriend, Will Solace.

We had been dating for three months, and he was perfect. The perfect friend, the perfect partner, the perfect everything.

The problem lay with me.

I knew that I was a terrible girlfriend.

I knew that I didn't deserve him.

I knew that he was a doctor.

He liked fixing people.

And I needed to be fixed.

Percy rolled over and threw a pillow at me.

"Please, for the love of Poseidon, go talk to him so I can sleep," Percy complained.

"But I'm practising avoiding my problems," I groaned, rolling out of bed and landing on the floor with a grunt.

I walked over to the door and opened it, giving a half-hearted smile to the tall blond standing outside.

"Hey, Will."

"Cleo, I haven't seen you in days."

He was angry, but I deserved his anger.

"I know. I'm sorry. I was working some things out."

Will took a step back, searching my face.

He didn't like what he found.

"So this is it?" His voice cracked. "You're breaking up with me?"

Tears filled my eyes, but I willed myself to stay strong.

I was doing what was best for him. He didn't need me.

"I'm sorry," was all I managed to get out.

"Cleo- Cleo, just wait!"

I didn't wait.

How could I have been so stupid? How could I have gotten such deep feelings so quickly?

How could I have ever thought he would've returned them?

I was halfway through the camp now, furiously trying to keep the tears at bay.

A few of the teenagers milling around stopped to stare at me.

"Cleo!"

A hand grabbed my arm and whirled me around.

I was face-to-face with the one person
I currently hated more than anyone else in any universe.

"What the fuck do you want," I spat out.

"Please, just let me explain," Bellamy begged.

"I think you've explained enough."

"No! Stop. You don't understand," Bellamy protested.

"You screwed Raven. Or did I just imagine it?"

Bellamy hesitated.

"That was real."

"Then please, inform me of what I could possibly not understand about that."

"Okay. Alright," Bellamy ran a hand through his hair.
