I don't know how long I slept.

I woke up on a mattress on the second level. How someone got me up there, I have no idea.

My shoes were off and sitting beside the bed along with my hoodie.

I donned both items of clothing, and climbed down the ladder, looking around for everyone.

I pushed the curtain aside and stepped out as a firey explosion sounded in the distance.

Bellamy and Clarke stood together towards the front of the gathered crowd, looking up at the sky.

"They did it," Bellamy said in mild disbelief.

"I am become death, destroyer of worlds," Clarke breathed.

Oppenheimer. I always liked that quote.

Bellamy looked down at Clarke, so she explained further, "It's Oppenheimer, the man who built the first--"

Bellamy rolled his eyes, "I know who Oppenheimer is."

A weird pang went through my chest as they smiled at each other.

Perhaps I was hungry.

I pushed through the crowd to stand beside Bellamy.

"Hey, Highness," He looked smug. "Had a good nap?"

"Not another word, Bells," I warned.
"I see the bomb worked."

"Like magic," He gave a disbelieving scoff.

"I would've thought you were too sensible for such things as magic."

"Me? Sensible? Wherever did you get that idea?" Bellamy gave a half-smirk.

"No clue," I rolled my eyes.

"Have you eaten? I left some food for you inside," He said.

"No, I haven't. I'll eat soon, thanks."

"When was the last time you ate anything?" Bellamy pushed further.

"Bellamy, I already said I would eat. Drop it."

He went to say something more but was interrupted by Harper's call.

"There! It's them! Open the gate." She shouted from her post.

Two teens opened the gate and we applauded as Monty and Jasper walked through, grinning from ear to ear.

As I approached, Jasper leaned over to say something to Monty.

"Hey guys," I said, smiling. "Nice work."

"Did you see the explosion?" Jasper spoke excitedly.

"I don't know how anyone could have not seen it," I laughed. "It was amazing."

Jasper shuffled his feet, "You think so?"

We were interrupted by Finn coming through the gate carrying a nearly passed-out Raven.

Clarke rushed forward to help.

"Let's get her inside," She told Finn, leading them both away.

Jasper looked at me hopefully, "Wanna fight again later?"

"Sure," I smiled. "Just find me when you're ready."

Monty led Jasper away, elbowing him in the side with a smirk as he did so.

Bellamy's eyes followed them as he approached me again.

"Okay, they're back. Now go eat."

I let out a laugh, "You never give up, do you?"
