Chapter 11

I didn't sleep a wink last night. I couldn't help but think about what happened the night before. Vampires were real. The person I was supposed to spend the rest of my existence with was a vampire. A blood sucking monster.

Well he really doesn't seem like a monster. He seemed to be normal.

I got up off of the couch after drinking my third cup of coffee and went to soak in the bath. I ran the water and poured my coconut bubble bath into the water.

I sat in the warm water. It was heavenly. As my mind went back to the night before I felt my eyes getting heavy. A bubble bath had always did the trick, so instead of falling asleep in the bath and drowning myself I got out and put on my night clothes even though it was noon.

I crawled in between the sheets and felt my eyes getting heavy.

I woke up in time to see the sun set, and I felt wide awake. I stretched my limbs and decided to grab a bite to eat.

I didn't plan on partying tonight so a quick dinner would suffice.

I pulled up at an Italian restaurant and ordered my food to go. While waiting on my food something caught my attention out of the corner of my eye. A man sat a table in the back corner. He had black hair that was pulled into a ponytail, light brown eyes and his hand was wrapped in a bandage.

Hmmm. That's odd. I could have sworn that I have seen him before somewhere.

I went to go pay for my food that I had ordered to go. Have you ever had the feeling that someone was watching you?

As if a magnet pulling me in, I turned to see the black haired man staring at me. He closed his eyes and sniffed the air and after taking the air in he looked at me again.

I turned and grabbed my food and headed for the door.

"Hey! Hey excuse me, do I know you?" he asked in an accelerated tone.

I turned and answered, "No, I don't think so." I knew I couldn't be too careful. There were all kinds of supernatural being in the world and I couldn't be too careful.

"Oh ok, my mistake." He sniffed the air again and looked at me with a devilish grin. "Have a good night."

On that note I turned and ran out of the restaurant.

After dinner I sat on the couch and watched T.V. I felt so lonely. Why couldn't I just open myself up to him and be by his side. On the up side I would never grow old nor be alone ever again.

Just as Elena was about to die in her cell after being turned into a vampire on TVD, I heard a knock at my door.

Hmmm. I wonder who that could be. I wasn't expecting anyone. I went to open the door and was shocked.

"Can I help you?" I couldn't help but to be afraid. I tried not to show it but he was standing at my door.

"Yes, wow what a coincidence, but my car stopped about a block down the road and I was wondering if I could use your phone?"

He seemed sincere, but I couldn't be too careful. I would put him to the test. I opened the door wide and said, "Yea sure." And walked to the couch.

I didn't hear footsteps behind me so I turned towards the door. Mr. Black ponytail stood in the doorway not attempting to cross the threshold.

I tried to play it off and said, "Here ya go." Handing him the phone from where I stood at the couch. Be calm Raven, be cool Raven.

He smiled and was about to take another step but couldn't. "You know what my shoes are dirty and I wouldn't want to get the floors dirty.

Oh no. He must be a vampire. I then began to panic. With each passing second my heart started to beat faster.

"I figured that I recognized you from somewhere. You are the one that injured me." he said holding up his bandaged hand.

He looked down at his shoe and back at me. His eyes! They were golden brown again. I then found myself walking towards him without any control. What am I doing? I felt a bead of sweat roll down my spine.

I was now in full panic mode. Danilo! I began to call out to him. I was now afraid even though he couldn't come in. What about when I leave? Now I am walking towards him without any control.

"I want to taste you, puppet. You smell sweet, like a virgin."

Out of nowhere I felt a gust of wind and Mr. Black ponytail went flying into the air, across the street and landed on his back.

I looked around the room and then Danilo was standing in front of me.

"I felt a tug at my heart and felt something was wrong, so I came to check on you." He caressed my cheek.

A wave of emotions hit me like a ton of brick as I had realized that if he wasn't a part of my life, Mr. Ponytail could have had me for dinner and I could have been dead.

I moved his hand away from my cheek and hugged him. Not just any hug but a hug that said thank you for saving my life because I owe you all that I have. He pulled away and looked at me with such passion in his eyes. I stood on the tip of my toes and kissed him.
