"Aether. The baby is sick from the cold. Please leave her to rest."-Xiao
"Xiao, you know I can't. This is the only family I have left. I rather let myself get sick by her then leaving Xing alone."-Aether
Aether was on the floor feeding a small baby some water mixed with herbs. He was dipping a small tube into a cup and squeezed it until it was halfway full. The blond squeezed it into the baby's mouth two or three times, then put the tube down. The baby soon fell asleep in Aether's arms. The blond looked happy for once. He was smiling at both Xiao and Xing.
"She has that diamond on your head. But she has my features. In stories, that means I will die first. If that ever happens, I want you to protect Xing with your life. Please Xiao. Keep her from harm for me."-Aether
"You're making it seem like a goodbye. We don't need goodbyes at this time. Rest well, my darling. I will protect you and Xing in your sleep"-Xiao
"Thank you...Xiao."-Aether
Soon the only noise from the room was sniffles from the baby's nose and soft snoring from the blond. The moonlight beamed at the two and stared at them for the night. Even though Xing had a stuffy nose, she still was a big impact in their lives.
The blond woke to to the morning sun's greeting. He panicked seeing his lover and the baby missing. He ran downstairs to find them eating breakfast together. Xiao had a mess on his face and Xing was laughing at his expression. Aether laughing soon averted their attention towards him.
"Such messy yaksha. Good morning to you both. ACHOO!"-Aether
"Now you're getting sick. Sigh, I guess that means I can't leave your side."-Xiao
