An End Is Always A New Beginning

"That's all, Jason," Alexandra told Jason, the class supervisor at Sidus Academy through her Keptis ring. Alexandra had just finished explaining to Jason all about Voldemort's return. At first, she was a bit hesitant to do so as the experience was particularly traumatic.

The most powerful dark wizard of all time just returned. He's a murderer and a cunning psychopath hungry for power and the world may be in danger, so no pressure, right? Alexandra only wished.

"Thanks for telling me all of this, Alexandra. I know it must've been hard to talk about it," Jason sympathised.

"Yeah but now, we need all the help we can get. And the worst thing is, the Ministry is planning on suppressing information of Voldemort's return. Fudge doesn't want to believe it at all," Alexandra explained.

"That's too bad but don't worry, I'll inform the Headmistress of this news. We might even send some Aurors from the Academy on missions," Jason assured her.

Alexandra merely nodded in reply. She had a frown on her face too.

"Hey, are you okay?" Jason asked her.

"What?" Alexandra said. "Oh yeah, I'm completely fine."

That was a lie.

"Jason, I have to go. Dinner is starting soon," And just like that, she cut off the call abruptly.

Was she really fine? Heck, no she wasn't. The idea that the world may be in such danger terrified her. At night, she had nightmares about the night Voldemort came back. Cedric dying, Voldemort rising from the cauldron...she wanted to forget it all.

But of course, it wasn't that simple. Alexandra heaved a heavy sigh. Last night, Sirius had revealed himself and shook his hand with Severus, but only because Dumbledore asked him to do so. Alexandra doubted Severus did it because he actually wanted to make amends but, oh well.

As for right now, Cedric's parents had asked to meet her and Harry. She could understand why. Of course, they would want to know how their beloved son died and although Alexandra understood that, she hated talking about everything that happened in the graveyard. So instead, she just merely asked Harry to go on behalf of her.

"But what if they ask about you?" Harry asked when Alexandra told him to go on without her.

"Just make up some stupid excuse about how I'm still recovering from the trauma of the events blah blah," She had said to him.

And Cho...gosh, Alexandra was feeling devastated after Cedric's death. She couldn't imagine how hard it was for Cho. Before leaving the graveyard, Cedric had asked Alexandra to tell Cho how much he loved her. But Alexandra couldn't do it, at least, not in person, for fear of breaking down into tears when talking about Cedric.

So instead, she ended up leaving a small note to Professor Flitwick and asked him to give it to Cho as he was her Head of House.

Alexandra walked through the corridors of the school. As she did, she could feel the stares of other students around her, whispering behind their hands. The newspaper had already badmouthed Harry so there was no doubt it would start badmouthing her if she kept on saying that Voldemort had returned.

Plus, it wasn't like they were going to believe her anyway so she found no point in providing anyone with an explanation.

Finally, she arrived at the Astronomy Tower. After Madam Pomfrey had let Alexandra leave the Hospital Wing, Alexandra often found herself coming up to this spot to get away from the chaos of the school. She leaned on the railings, silently admiring the scenery from the tower as she inhaled a breath of fresh air.
