"Wait, so you talked about me??" Leah asks me, surprised. "Well I wasn't gonna just tell her that I was single when I'm not-." I say.

We've been in my living for about an hour, just talking. I've missed her presence. I told her about me going to see my mom, and she's been listening so intuitively. She really wants to know what's going on.

"I'm glad you told your mama about me." She smiles all flirty like. I smile too and roll my eyes. "But I am really glad that you decided to give her a chance..." She says sincerely. "And..that she's not homophobic." She says and I laugh. "Yeah-. That's a relief." I agree.

"But thankyou for telling me to give her a chance. I do think this is a good thing. She's not at all what I imagined her to be like, but she's still perfect." I say. Leah smiles as she listens.

"You sound like you really admire her." She says and puts her hand on my thigh, comfortingly. "I do." I nod.

"I'd love to meet her." Leah says. "Really?" I ask. "Mhm. She sounds cool." She nods. "I'm sure she'd love that." I say. "I'll ask her if she's free this weekend. Maybe we can have dinner or something." I shrug and she nods. "Sounds good." She smiles.

-

"Hi baby." Leah says to me once I get in her car. It's the next weekend, and my mom agreed to having dinner. "Hi." I smile at her.

"Are you nervous?" I ask Leah as we're driving now. "Nope." She says and I roll my eyes. "Yeah right." I say and she smiles. "Just a little. But I know it'll go good." She nods.

Once we get to the restaurant, we head in and get seated. We order our drinks and look over the menu. About five minutes later, I hear heels hitting the floor towards us. I look up and I see my mom approaching.

I smile and stand up to greet her. Leah stands up too. "Hi." I smile and give my mom a hug. "Hello gorgeous." She says and pats my back. "Rosalía, this is my girlfriend, Leah." I say and look at Leah.

""Oh- it's so nice to finally meet you mija." She says and Leah smiles. "You too." Leah says and holds out her hand to shake my moms, but instead my mom pulls her in for a hug.

Leah laughs and I smile. We all sit down at the table and order our food. Leah and my mom end up having a lot of conversation, which I'm surprised about. I thought Leah would kind of just be quiet and chime in here and there, but they're getting along very well. Which makes me really happy.

"Yeah when Jen told me about the whole situation, it was just really crazy. Like something you see in the movies." Leah explains. "I agree. It is very random, but it needed to be done. I needed to find my baby." My mom says and reaches across the table, taking my hand in hers.

I like this a lot, I feel like everything is exactly how I want it. I have my mother, for the first time ever, and the love of my life. I've never had this much love surrounding me. It feels healthy...and perfect.

The rest of the night goes by like a movie. I feel like I'm watching Leah and my mom laugh and get along great in slow motion as I flash a sweet smile at them whenever they look at me.

I'm not saying much, but I'm enjoying every single part of this. I've never been so happy. I don't even know how all this happened. But it doesn't matter.

"Thankyou so much for eating with us." Jennifer tells her mom as we're standing outside the restaurant. "Of course mija. Anytime. And I mean it, I better see you two soon." She smiles and so do we. "You know it." Jennifer nods. "It was so nice meeting you." I tell Jens mom and give her another hug. "You too chiquita." She says.

Once we finish saying our goodbyes, me and Jen start heading to my car, but Rosalía stops me with her hand on my shoulder. I look back at her. "Hold on a second." She starts to say. "Go on, mija. She'll be right there." She says once she realizes Jennifer stopped to wait for me. I look at Jennifer before she nods and turns, walking away to the car.

"Leah..thankyou for being so good to her." She starts to say. "I can see it in her eyes how much she loves you, and I'm glad she's had someone when I wasn't there for her." She says and takes my hand.

"Now...you take care of my baby. Alright?" She tilts her head. "She deserves someone who loves her." She says. "Of course." I nod. "Don't worry." I assure her with a smile.

"Thankyou..so much." She says and gives me another hug, but this ones more endearing. We say one last goodbye then I walk to my car.

I get in the drivers seat and look over at Jen who's already staring me down with those eyes. She's smiling because she knows her mom just gave me some sort of sentimental talk.

"I love you baby." I say and her smile fades a little, not expecting that. "I love you too." She says softly.

THE END
A/N

ok guys so i really didn't have anywhere else for this book to go, so i'm sure this is a VERY sudden ending, but i feel like it's at a good place, especially since i wasn't gonna do anything else with it. a lot of my ideas just didn't really fit, so i figured i'd just go ahead and end this one on a good note. PLUS, i have a new book i'm already working on that has a lot more drama, plot and just more interesting things overall. and i'm really bad at doing two books at the same time, so i really just wanna move on. this book isn't one that i liked very much, and my mind kept drifting from it, and i'm sure you guys kind of forgot about it as well, but i promise the next one will be SOOO worth it. and it will be out VERY SOON! sorry again for this unexpected ending. love you guys<3
