"I just wanted to have a harmless conversation with those chipmunks" I say to Dante who is having a sip of wine.

"Harmless? You?" Ace says and I roll my eyes

"The dude pushed her!" I say

"She didn't call you,,she didn't cry for help. She didn't do nothing,so why did you rush to her?" Dante asks

"Because at that moment,I wanted to" I defend

"Yeah right" Dante replies and I so wanna push him off that chair.

"So what's the whole use of this if all y'all are gonna do is question me" I point out and Dante chuckles

"Sorry about that," he laughs again. "So,what do you want us to do?"

I just sigh.
"Well, she's mad at me"

"She's always mad at you" Dante chuckles

"Talk to her" Ace says

"Again?" I ask

"You're the one going after your dream girl" Ace shrugs

"She's not my dream girl" I clarify.

"Long time,Jason" Kelly says with a smirk

"Yah..." I trail off sipping my coffee

"You're not excited to see me?" She asks

"Not really" I admit

"Well, I'm here now. So, let's talk" she says and I feel irritated.

"Talk about what," I move closer to her. "were you following me?"

"Nope. This is a public place,and I coincidentally met you here" she replies

"Okay, then coincidentally go to another table" I say

"I wanna stay here"

"Fine. How's Derek?" I ask her and she smiles.

"He's good" she replies

"Happy for you" I say rounding up my coffee.

I get up.
"So,I'll see you around,Kelly" I say walking out of the shop.

When I get home,just Toby is home. Mom said she had some shopping to do.

I walk to my room and I call Ruby.
She picks up the second time.

I wonder why she has this habit of not picking up the first time.

"Hey, Ruby" I say

"Jason" she says

"I hope you're not mad at me" I say

She sighs.
"Jason. I don't care., I only felt bad that he said that about your mom. And dad too" she replies

"What's with you and these comments?" I ask

"What comments?"

"Never mind" I sigh

"So later,right?" She says and hangs up.
