"I think it's not enough. No, Giovanna. She cannot make it"

I don't know but I felt hurt when I heard those words from Mr. Smith, I felt like all my efforts gone wasted and they just threw it. Sure thing, I did not expect to pass this audition but I didn't know that I will feel this way when I finally heard 'No' from him. So this is what Chriselle felt. This will hurt my ego for a lifetime I know.

I gathered all my will to look at them with the same face I am having before Mr. Smith said his decision. Hindi ko alam kung napapansin nila ang pangangatog ng mga binti ko pero dapat ipakita ko sa kanilang hindi ako katulad ng iba na iiyak at magmumukmok dahil hindi nakapasa sa audition na ito. Alam ko masakit, feeling ko hindi nila naappreciate ang theme song ng mga magulang ko pero hindi ibig sabihin nuon ay ipapakita ko na sa kanilang mahina ako.

Nang tingin ko ay hindi na sila magsasalita, hindi na ako umimik at nagsimula na akong maglakad papunta sa backstage. Mr. Bracelli was there at hindi ko mapigilang hindi mapayuko, I know he will tell my parents what happened to this audition shit.

Malapit na akong makarating sa backstage ng marinig ko ang boses ni Alden.

Tinignan ko sila at mataman lang nila akong tinititigan.

"She played the song well" anas ni Giovanna habang nakatingin siya sa akin, "It's actually a heart felt rendision of wonderful tonight, it's just that... " tumingin siya sa akin na parang binabasa niya kung anong nasa utak ko, "It's just that it's not enough to impress us. I think you made a wrong choice of song sweetheart" aniya.

Nakita ko ang pagtango-tango ni Xylus at Dwaine sa tabi niya.

Did I really made a wrong choice of song? Should I follow Chriselle and Lance's opinion to play Yiruma of Ryan Cayabyab's song for this audition?

"That's the reason why we can't just pass you" aniya pa.

"Bakit hindi nalang natin siya patugtugin ulit ng ibang kanta para malaman kung dapat ba talaga siyang bumagsak sa audition?"

My jaw dropped when I heard Hilton saying those words. Everyone was looking at him even Giovanna and Xylus. Gusto kong bumaba ng stage at sabunutan siya dahil siya lang ang may ganang ngumiti sa aming lahat. What is he thinking?

"Why? You've said that she didn't pass this audition because of her choice of song so it doesn't mean that she's not capable of playing it excellently. Why don't we give her a chance to play another song to prove herself to us"

Narinig ko ang pagsipol ni Dwaine at ang pagtawa ni Aldon sa tabi niya. Nakita kong nagkatinginan si Xylus at si Giovanna bago sila tumingin kay Mr. Smith.

"What do you think Mr. Smith?"

Mr. Smith was just looking at me at gustong-gusto ko na talagang manakbo palabas. Damn that fucktard! I've been cursing a lot in my mind and I wanna spank Hilton for saying those words. Kung pwede lang ay gusto ko ng makaalis sa kanilang harap at humiga sa kama kong malambot, okay lang naman kung hindi nila ako ipasa. In the first place hindi ko naman talaga gustong magperform, I know failing this audition will hurt my ego and pride but it doesn't mean that it will measure who I really am in this world. It's not like it's the end of the world if I'll fail this.
